Then I searched my email & realized I’d spoken with the director, tho I was in Florida & missed the screening. Sadly, director Erik Kristopher Myers passed away a few years ago. Most importantly, a huge loss to his family & friends, but also a loss to the film world. /7
A test screening of the film "Butterfly Kisses" will take place at Artomatic Frederick on Thursday, June 9, 2016 at 6 pm. The evening will consist of a screening of the current version of the film along with an opportunity after the screening to provide feedback that will be utilized by the filmmakers to further refine the

Steve told me the story was originally written for & appeared in “In the Blink of an Eye” which was an authorized collection of stories inspired by the Ellicott City-set found footage film Butterfly Kisses (2018). 4/

Later, I pulled @stevetoase.bsky.social’s fiction collection Dirt Upon My Skin (2024) back off the shelf & it opened on the story “Traverse.” *pause to say that in reality our field school didn’t mysteriously disappear, the project ended. And that it was actually west of Ellicott City* 3/

K. Patrick Glover mentioned this project to me because of my interest in Forteana. A couple of weeks later I met with an old friend from my archaeology degree who now works for a university archive. While we were having a beer the Ilchester Tunnel came up in conversation.
Once they realised it was the one in Maryland not Somerset they told me about a research project studying 19th century temporary worker camps across Western Europe and the United States. It seems that the project stalled after a training excavation in Ellicot City went wrong. Although she couldn't get me the project
