Exatron @exatron.bsky.social · 03/10/2026The internet always needs more gay cat pictures. Pictures of mine tend to look more hostage situation than gay, but at least they're cute. 0330
Exatron @exatron.bsky.social · 03/10/2026If you don't like "condescension", try actually thinking critically about AI for once, sweetie. Your description of plagiarism is literally what AIs do. 020
Exatron @exatron.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Exactly. If a person were to make an LLM from the ground up using only their own work, that's their business. I may disagree on if it's a good idea, but it's their choice. 000
Exatron @exatron.bsky.social · 03/10/2026The problem is that AI development started from databases of plagiarized material, sweetie. That's not something you can escape unless you're building an algorithm from scratch using only things you have permission to use. And LLMs definitely can't do research better than a human alone. 010
Exatron @exatron.bsky.social · 03/10/2026Yes, sweetie, AIs are are all built on reuse without credit. Being public facing doesn't mean you have permission to reuse it, spud. And providing attribution doesn't change that AIs reuse that text without consent or compensation. 000
Exatron @exatron.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Since he's an AI weirdo, I'm guessing cognitive dissonance or just not understanding what plagiarism is. 120
Exatron @exatron.bsky.social · 02/10/2026I've been doing that kind of research without LLMs for decades, sweetie. (You'll get called something else when you stop being an idiot.) LLMs are the definition of plagiarism, cupcake. They take the works of others and pass it off as their own. 180
Exatron @exatron.bsky.social · 02/10/2026No, I'm definitely not wrong about that, sweetie. LLMs aren't needed for any of that. 190
Exatron @exatron.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Bold of you to assume people who reject AI don't understand it, kiddo. At best, it's an overgrown autocomple. The only remotely good thing it does is to tell people what tasks its uses think aren't worth doing. 020
Exatron @exatron.bsky.social · 02/10/2026No, sweetie, it's a plagiarism machine. All it does is randomly shuffle a pile of data that was taken without consent, credit, or compensation. It's terrible for all of those things because it can't create anything that's actually new. 1120
Exatron @exatron.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Or we could just reject the plagiarism machine and use those resources on worthwhile things. 1250

Exatron @exatron.bsky.social · 26/09/2026It's weirder than that. Vitamin A can help people with measles if they already have a vitamin A deficiency. The antivaxxers ignored that inconvenient deficiency thing because they're desperately looking for excuses to not vaccinate. 120
Exatron @exatron.bsky.social · 26/09/2026I'd get a chuckle out of it. My job sometimes has me trying not to snicker whenever someone turns "Food Assistance Program" into an acronym. 020
Exatron @exatron.bsky.social · 25/09/2026That's one of the reasons I hate AI code. If I'm reading code a human wrote, I can see signs of how that person was thinking- variable name, comments, how things are organized and formatted, etc. AI code doesn't really have that because there's no mind behind it, making the code hard to evaluate. 010
