I like how the Demi-fiend is giving me the side eye in the corner

Emilio Orsi @ewilio.bsky.social · 07/10/2026

I think you could smell it even from afar, it's a very strong and incredibly pleasant scent. I guess it's not that case for that tree in particular? I have the one with yellow flowers :3

Osmanthus!! I'm sure it has such a lovely scent

I am also still not over how FE3H's tiny text lessened my enjoyment of the game. That thing was ridiculous.

The latest culprit is the Castlevania: Belmont's Curse demo, which I'm enjoying but dang that text is all over the place ranging from normal to super small

I swear I'm going to need one of those fancy opera glasses to be able to read the text on some of these games. Stop making tiny text for console games pls🙏

I will always recommend Paradise Killer (and its superb OST) even at full price. Had a great time with Promise Mascot Agency too! Don't miss them

It's also a neat way to learn some Italian vocabulary, they did a pretty good job at it.

I approve this game (even though it has meatballs🤷)

Ah yes, Pokemon Emerald is perfect with a glass of champagne: it brings the best part of its green minerality, leading to a hauntingly pretentious finish reminiscent of a Tuesday in 2005. I see you're quite the connoisseur! (happy birthday!)

For Castlevania's 40th anniversary, Konami put their two big OST collections on streaming services: konami.lnk.to/castlevania_... konami.lnk.to/castlevania_... The main difference between the 2 is that Red is mostly about Michiru Yamane and Yuzo Koshiro's tracks.

#RandomGameSaturday - The Legend of Zelda: Collector's Edition, a big name for what was a big deal back then: Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask and the NES titles for the Gamecube. Emulation of the first two (especially MM) wasn't that great but hey, who was I to complain back then.

I'm glad we have someone like you over there who gives Latin declensions the respect they deserve

011

Emilio Orsi @ewilio.bsky.social · 23/09/2026

Same for Latin words like cactus/cacti or bacterium/bacteria! And then I've heard paninis or cannolis which drives me nuts😑

Still, it's kind of weird to see a console actually dropping down in price with things as they are right now

And it seems to be EU-only, as in European Union only. Sorry UK, Brexit is Brexit I guess🤷

For EU folks, looks like Nintendo is clearing out their old Switch 1 stock to make way for the user-repairable models next year. Switch 1 + MK8DX (game cart) is €199, a crazy good deal

I wish you could smell how deliciously fragrant they are. It's like a mix of peaches and apricots with a hint of citrus fruit🤤

Mid-September means it's time for our Osmanthus fragrans to bloom, filling the air with their delightful fruity scent

Being a fruit, it could work! 🤞

Another one is mixing neem oil + potassium soft soap which is not as aggressive as regular insecticides but it should work.

110

Emilio Orsi @ewilio.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

As for bugs, the quickest method is trying to prevent them from laying their eggs and removing them as soon as you spot them on your daily watering. We deal with lots of stink bugs and we keep a plastic bottle half full of water nearby and throw them there by picking them up with a glove.

Emilio Orsi @ewilio.bsky.social · 14/09/2026

Thankfully, cherry and plum tomatoes in general are easier to grow than their bigger siblings and tolerate heat better but I would recommend using a 50% shade cover to protect them. Also, if you're using pots, don't use black pots as those attract light faster and may overheat their roots.

110

Emilio Orsi @ewilio.bsky.social · 13/09/2026

The highlight this year has been planting yellow cherry tomatoes, which I did just for fun. They're super delicious and just two plants yield hundreds of tomato goodness
