yeah sorry for the half week delay, I neglected this one again 🙏 guess I'll break up the frequency & skip this sunday to get back into the rhythm on the 18th, bc people seem to prefer having a set day of the week? o: (At least that's what the person I stole it from did~) ngl.link/evu_de #evungl

#evuwatched Drive (2011) …it suddenly spawned on Prime, so I was finally able to get it off my backlog! And it's good, but tbh I expected a bit more due to its cult following? (RIP Kavinsky)

So there have been re-entries of what I mistakenly(?) deleted last week, but tbh some stuff already got answered before o: So if you are from here you might want to scroll through the thread instead (And I know it got borked, but all relevant answers should still be there :3) ngl.link/evu_de #evungl

Went to catch an encore trying to make use of one of the last warm days this year with an open air event, but man it's sure getting a lot colder once the sun has gone down now 😬

Last night I went to an open mic comedy event~ Very entertaining & since it was the first time for me in person it was really interesting to see some artists experiment with their material much more freely :> Just every time crowd work was about to happen a slight panic kicked in 🤪

Yesterday I went to another mini music festival in my area to touch some gras & it was quite the welcome distraction~ To my surprise the gras even came with some cute sheep *w* (They also had a thrift mile around, but unfortunately I didn't really find anything noteworthy there)

#evuwatched Resident Evil (2026) & it was hella entertaining~ Probably the best video game adaption I've ever seen 🙏 And glad to report that it still has lots of humor, which I definitely very welcome atm (actually a bit hard to believe that there was an even funnier cut …still wanna see that tho~)

Movie poster for Resident Evil (2026) showing a car from above on a snowy road in a forest. It is dark and the car's white headlights are pointing to the top towards a person on a road who is casting a long spooky shadow. The backlights are illuminating the movie's title "Resident Evil" at the bottom of the poster. Additional text on the poster says "From the director of Weapons & Barbarian" (Zach Cregger) at the top and at the bottom "Exclusively in movie theaters September 18 - Filmed for IMAX"

Btw also noticed when you activate auto-generated subtitles & the video is mostly only music, YT recently recognizes part of the music often as the word "heat" & puts it in the subs. Can be amusing in some context, but all in all doesn't bode well for the LLM… Don't wanna say it's a vibecoded mess~

Screenshot of an embedded Youtube player currently playing the "How Many Dudes? - Official Launch Trailer". The video has subtitles activated and even tho it has no narration at all the subtitles say "Heat. [music]"

This happened again, but this time the solution is when you actually drag down the mainpage a small navigation appears on top where you can jump from 'home' to 'subscriptions' (or you can just swipe left & right to scroll over) …no idea how you should know that tho, that's some hella weird A/B-test

Also since it was asked last time I did my first MBTI test in years (ngl was rather bored too lol) …and flopped again, but this time to Prospecting D: TBH not feeling any "easygoing spontaneity", but might got better in LARPing 🤪 (Tolkien reference too funny tho considering my recent watch history~)

Screenshot of the 16personalities result page saying the following:

"Your personality type is: Mediator (INFP-T)"
Headlined by a J.R.R. Tolkien quote:
"All that is gold does not glitter; not all those who wander are lost;
the old that is strong does not wither; deep roots are not reached by the frost."

Followed by the general description:
"As an INFP (Mediator), you possess a rich inner world brimming with imagination, empathy, and idealism. Your compassionate nature and deep-seated desire to understand the human experience make you a natural confidant and source of support for those around you. You approach life with a sense of wonder, always seeking meaning and authenticity in your experiences and relationships. Your creativity is a wellspring of inspiration, often manifesting in unique ideas and innovative solutions to complex problems. However, this same creativity can sometimes lead you to become lost
in daydreams, making it challenging to handle the more practical aspects of life. You have a profound capacity for empathy, allowing you to connect with others on a deep, almost intuitive level."

Showing an illustration of a graphically stylized druid like person sitting in nature surrounded by wildlife animals

Table of Personality Traits contains:
83% introverted (instead of Extroverted)
93% intuitive (instead of Observant)
57% Feeling (instead of Thinking)
65% Prospecting (instead of Judging)
63% Turbulent (instead of Assertive)

Highlighted is the Prospecting section:
"You're likely very adaptable, easygoing and flexible, prioritizing spontaneity over stability"

#evuwatched The Hobbit Trilogy (2012-2014), took the chance before it leaves Netflix again tomorrow~ What to say tho? It's more Jackson's LotR, so whoever likes that probably ate well :D for me it also has the same problems as those, but dunno if I would also had welcomed The Odyssey's approach?

Pick up from my post office (Shipping was quick, but I ordered way later than I intentionally planned~ However that way I was able to get the limited red panda <3) & the prints are just so pretty 😭 Also thinking about putting one cat sticker on my laptop, even when I don't have any logo to hide 🤭

A collection of @djamilaknopf.bsky.social's prints lying on my bed sheets.
There are four A3 designs
(upper left: cat under a yellow ginkgo tree - called 'ginkgo'
bottom left: VW Bulli on a meadow in front of a mountainside - called 'Viridian'
upper middle: Capybaras in a hot spring in front of waterfall - called 'Capybara'
bottom middle: Red Panda on a mossy rock - called 'Red Panda' Limited-Time premium print)
And two 30x30cm prints at the right
(bottom right: 'cat in cherry tree' & above that 'cat in plant pot')
Plus as pack-in goodies: Two identical round stickers of yawning cat on windowsill, the same cat as a bookmark & Djamila Knopf's business card in the very upper right corner

So in the end I caved~ Decided that even if a OLED variant is gonna come around anytime soon, it will probably not be worth the higher asking price, especially since the base model will also be more expensive then... Now what was that about some Pokopia news on Friday I heard? 👀

Also perfect timing with the current 'post a meme made by you' trend~ (I've never read a single Animorphs book...)

Badly photoshopped book cover of K.A. Applegate's "Animorphs - The Invasion" by me, where the joke is that the 'Magikarp Guy' Meme (bottom left) turns into the 'surprised Pikachu face' Meme (at the top right) in multiple steps thanks to a hue shift from blue to yellow and a shitty job done by overusing the Liquify tool/filter

Undertale personality test quite cute, or at least a welcome change from clinging to MBTI all the time~ Even when it's worded just as flattering 😅 What does it mean tho that Determination (the core value in Undertale) is actually my lowest score 🥲

SOUL VIRTUES EXTRACTOR

KINDNESS

GREEN SOUL

No matter how many times I got hurt, I never let
that make me cruel.

KINDNESS 71%
JUSTICE 67%
PATIENCE 48%
BRAYERY 48%
INTEGRITY 42%
PERSEVERANCE 29%
DETERMINATION 29%

undertale.jadenthe jaded.uk

WHAT IS KINDNESS?
Kindness is not niceness. The latter is pleasant and cheap, only offered by those who are unable or unwilling to tell people what they actually need to hear. Kindness is frequently inconvenient, and it might even hurt at first, but it's aimed at providing the best possible outcome for those who wouldn't be able to help themselves.

You are probably the person people tell things to. You often find yourself feeling someone' s discomfort and wanting to figure out how to fix things almost out of instinct.

THE SHADOW OF ONE'S SOUL
Kindness defends everyone except the person holding it, and will call that a virtue. The Kind who don't set healthy boundaries more often than not find themselves spent for someone else's sake, even though not everyone might deserve it.

It also hides. Kindness is a very comfortable place to put avoidance: an unhealthy Kind will often disregard their own needs, being willing to take on the pain for everyone else, as if martyrdom were something to aspire to.

OFTEN CONFUSED WITH PATIENCE
Patience and Kindness have a few things in common: both trust that time can make things better, but the former concerns itself with time and how it's spent, the latter with alleviating and preventing pain.

The Patient will often remain near people who might ask for help, but wait for them to make the first move; the Kind will simply go ahead and offer their help regardless.

YOUR SECONDARY VIRTUE
Your second-strongest virtue is JUSTICE, at 67%. A very strong pair, KINDNESS and JUSTICE both concern themselves with solving outward issues: if someone needs help, rest assured that the just Kind would never leave them to fend for themselves.

Of course, they will also not be willing to compromise on how to solve things; something which, depending on the circumstances, can prove to be either a blessing or a curse.
Your lowest virtue is determination (29%). Of course, no one can be perfect at everything.

New small Youtube design update & tbh I once again don't get it? Like what's the point of having a duplicate video description, view- & like counter? It's not even sticky in the sidebar! Also if you're already implementing a hover tooltip for upload dates, at least also show the time of day? <_<

excerpt of a screenshot of the new Youtube video page. When you click on the video title a gray box appears to the right in the sidebar showing the video description and other details like view count & upload date. All these information was already there tho directly to the right or just below the title (without having to click it)

#evuwatched Obsession (2025), so I guess it got its high ratings for being extremely unsettling & not for being very clever? I couldn't really stand the exposition, so it wasn't what I expected 😖, but all in all it's superbly executed therefore justifying its hype~
