And I'd like to shout out, once again, how sensible it is to have a clear company policy on how you can rotate within R&D teams on a regular, orderly cadence. It keeps people in the company and distributes very team-specific knowledge across the company. It's so smart and effective.

announced my team move today - i didn't realise it was weighing on my shoulders until now! I'm switching from doing black magic execution engine things to ... well, no one really knows what it is yet, but it's called CoreCD with a team called Modern Deployments, to give you a taste. Extremely hype!

That would at least be funny! This was sadly just a bit of a headscratcher. Apparently a Lexus is the status symbol car to have for high net worth individuals, in this book's universe 🤷 i mean, it was a terrible book and i didn't finish it for other reasons but the TWO Lexuses didn't help

having a parent in rest home care is a part-time admin job. desperately wishing for siblings right now. even if they didn't do anything, at least I'd have a capable adult as a target for all my frustration and ffs as you get older and retire, make a plan for your own care

i was on the list for shoulder surgery in Wellington for over two years with no hope of it happening and absolutely no communication. i moved to Tauranga and the whole thing was scheduled and executed within six months. absolutely wild difference between the DHBs

I went back and forth on the colours for quilt #3 but i think im finally happy with them

Quilt #2 has been completed. So much happier with how this one turned out! It's now on its way to its new home in NZ, and I'm starting on quilt #3. I would quite like my dining table back for a bit but i want to get the third one done quickly if I can.
