yeah absolutely! these types of drawings have a less is more approach inspired by my physical art - when drawing on paper colour pens cost extra, so i prefer a lot of monochrome with occasional splashes of vibrance there.

i have a lot of specific preferences about the way i draw my designs, so when drawing this one my reflection was that id prefer the design to resemble a fictional aircraft i imagined.

today's drawing is an aeromorph. its also inspired by one of my favourite artists, Mechanized Monsters. lots of people design aeromorphs lots of different ways, but usually they look like people with plane parts on them.

i submitted my thesis today. mostly just feel exhausted, there were a lot of compromises and ill probably need to keep working on it beyond the formal deadline. but it feels different to be at the next stage of the project. i wanna catch up with so many people.

it takes years to trim all my blades perfectly down to a becoming appearance. but at the moment of bladeclash i am returned to being the very version of myself i used to be. the act of violence transforms every blade back to their original state.

i was recently in a car accident, and the concussion and whiplash from it has made completing a lot of everyday tasks quite difficult in the short term. naturally this makes it similarly challenging to draw even in the times im not actively focusing on my thesis. mixed feelings about this.
