I read yr piece in the “i” about your life by the sea (🙄) enjoying the Cornish “hospitality”. I lived in Cornwall for 10 yrs. as a young man & have to agree. Where I lived (North Coast) the “locals” were largely dismissive, even suspicious… Thankfully there were pleasant non-natives to compensate. 🤘
