His nephew's eyes looked up and locked with his gaze. Lucerys smiled at him, a joyous expression on his face. He abandoned his partner to the other dancers, and trotted to him. "Aemond, you made it!" Lucerys was breathing heavily and his face was red and sweaty.

Aemond huffed. Lucerys must have seen that he was deliberately cold and rude, why was he so joyous? Everyone loved Luke. He was the youngest, the livelier of them. The boys encouraged him, the girls doted on him. And there was Aemond, who loathed him.

Lucerys left the room, and for a long time Aemond stayed where he was, on a chair. He felt so much lighter, and hate and vengeful thoughts had been replaced by brown doe-eyes, full red lips and freckled skin.

#lucemond Aemond closed the door after him once he arrived in his apartment in the Red Keep. Finally this infernal diner with his half-sister and her brood had come to an end. Finally he could stop pretending Jacaerys' hit had done nothing to him. His nephew was definitely Strong.
