Lenin was in hiding, not out of the country but Bolsheviks and Left SRs took power in 1917 without needing much luck, but keeping it was a much more serendipitous à la that tweet’s perfect alignment of things etc

The youngest person his pager attack killed was 9-year-old Fatima Abdullah, who had just started 4th grade. The pager was on a table when it went off and she picked it up to take to her dad. It exploded in her face and reports said it covered the room in her blood. She wanted to learn English.

That’s not really the case though for Ukraine. Their commander-in-chief is 42. The one before him was older but started his career in late 80s. It’s Russian army that’s full of 70 year olds.
