If there were thousands of people at these things they would be running looped video to prove it. Since they show clipped close up type shots only, I know for a fact Trump is lying about attendance. Same with all the other lies he claims, If they had proof we would be hammered with it nonstop.

The left is running with the same bad framing as the right on Chris Rock. He didn’t reject social justice or “wokeness.” He said the reckoning was necessary, but the culture around accountability became too punitive and unforgiving. That’s a critique of excess, not the underlying values. Be better

Actually I would say coverage is a privilege not a right. The free press should report whatever they see and hear. That is the right of the free press . It is a privilege to be given a platform to say what you want or have them say what you want them to say. The president should simply do his job.

He doesn’t care about elections. He only cares about profit. So yes he wanted two terms as president but it wasn’t because he wanted to govern or had a principled view of policy. He wanted to grift for money and power he is now just grabbing as much money as he can before he has to leave.

This should be a much bigger story. Trump’s mail-ballot restrictions have already been blocked by federal courts as likely unlawful. But USPS just finalized a 95-page rule building the machinery to enforce them anyway—ready to activate if SCOTUS lifts the injunction. Weeks before an election.

Maybe he doesn’t. Then he’s violating the rules and they should be enforced. But you’ve moved from “carts have zero standards” to “some carts may violate existing standards”—which concedes the standards exist. Punish violations; don’t ban compliant vendors to shield restaurants from competition.

You keep arguing against something I didn’t say. LA carts that prepare food must have handwashing facilities; carts without them face strict limits on what they may sell or prepare. I support enforcing those rules. I don’t support banning compliant vendors to protect restaurants from competition.

Safety standards don’t have to be identical; they must fit the operation & its risks. & a cart does not have “zero standards.” LA requires vending, seller’s & public-health permits, plus applicable equipment & handling rules. Different overhead & proportional reqs. aren’t a double standard.

If a cart is unpermitted, trespassing, blocking an entrance or violating health law, enforce those laws. That’s a valid point. But a legal cart having lower costs than a restaurant isn’t a double standard, & the ADA analogy proves nothing. Different facilities can reasonably have diff requirements.

It may be, &0 no I don’t, but that doesn’t change my statement. The restaurant could be a food cart. They have chosen to be a restaurant. If that isn’t viable & profitable then it isn’t profitable & viable. If the food truck isn’t legal that is another story, but I don’t see that as being the case.
