NDIS funding shouldn't be cut to a level people can't actually use. We're calling for the Ministerial Support Determination to protect at least 2 hours/week of SCCP funding where a cut would take someone below that level. Why? The SCHADS Award minimum support worker shift is 2 hours. #NDIS

The Minister now has power to make NDIS pricing determinations. That doesn't mean prices changed on 27 Aug. The NDIA says there are no immediate changes. But future pricing decisions matter enormously for whether participants can actually access supports. #ProtectOurNDIS

One NDIS Bill amendment gives some people with very high support needs a pathway to seek a plan variation after a broad funding cut. That's a safeguard worth having. But why should people have to prove harm after a blanket cut? NDIS decisions should start with individual need.

63 amendments have been made to NDIS Bill. Some safeguards are welcome. But the big concerns remain: broad powers to cut categories of support, cuts to social & community participation, tighter eligibility & concerns about automated decision-making. Amended doesn't mean fixed.
