The cover for Uncanny Magazine Issue 56, “Resurrecting Venus" by Galen Dara: In the background, two planets overlap. A large red one is eclipsed by a blue one, the surface is decorated with waves. At the forefront, a woman's face is split in three pieces that are slowly coming together. Spread throughout the motif of sea waves are present in shades of light blue, dark blue, and purple. The outline of koi are spread throughout too, accompanying the woman. The quote reads: "To my eye, it seemed as if the residents were desperately trying to make up for something. As if their homes’ gay appearance was specifically designed to keep some darkness or depravity at bay. I told my mother this and she accused me of being dramatic."

A rad red-and-blue book cover illustrated by Matthew Spencer with swole hotties holding gnarly weapons and the title SHATTER THE SUN: QUEER TALES OF UNTOLD ADVENTURE. Neon Hemlock logo in the corner against a background that looks like Brom's diary pages, weathered and painted with geometric designs. More info: https://www.neonhemlock.com/submissions

Y'all, this issue is SO GOOD. Possibly my favourite Augur issue to date (shh don't tell the others). Working with @everettalistair.bsky.social on the edits for Dead Operators All the Way Down was an absolute joy.
