This post on Famiboards outlines my experience exactly. This happening out of nowhere brought me to a low point beyond any I’ve experienced before. Nintendo is *the* core hobby of mine. It sounds dumb, but we all have to have our comforts these days. I profoundly thank this user for understanding.

A post from Famiboards with the username cropped out. It reads as follows:

Wake up and turn on Switch 2, find you are banned from online services and unable to download games. Contact Nintendo to get told you have broken Tos, this is permanent, and they cannot help you. Go online to see you are not alone, maybe even make a post about it. Everybody calls you a liar and a pirate who isn't telling the whole story. Eventually most of these bans start getting reversed, including yours. Turns out Nintendo made an error and you were in fact innocent the entire time.

If this is how it actually went down, I cannot begin to imagine how shitty of a day it has been for the people affected. Glad it might be clearing up, but really this kinda thing should not be happening. I understand how many times there have been sob stories from people who got caught in the FAFO situation, but it doesn't take anything to not comment on the situation until more info comes around. These things can and do happen.

Ohhhhhh my god my Switch 2 is unbanned. I don’t know if that reddit post about support confirming an internal server error is true or not, but I powered my Switch 2 completely off and back on and I can now connect. Literally shaking, that’s years off my life right there. 😩

In the hope of this getting any attention, this happened to me. I have absolutely no idea why this may have happened. My most recent used game purchase was two months ago, but I only updated it and never actually played it (I’m a collector, 150+ physical games). Three support calls, no recourse.

Update to this, they claimed on my third call with them that my console was flagged for use of a “game-copying device” which, although there’s no way for me to prove a negative, I *know* I do not own and have never used. They stated that if the ban was triggered by a used game, they also won’t unban

Completionists: If you registered Shiny Eternal Flower Floette in Pokémon Bank’s Pokédex via QR codes in Generation VII, completing a Bank transfer to HOME v4.0.0 will now copy over that registration (albeit without showing the actual Shiny palette). Shiny Mega Floette won’t register. #PokémonHOME

Would it be possible without playing through the entire game to determine if the Navel Rock and Birth Island events are available? In Crystal VC, the Celebi event would only activate after defeating Red IIRC. Nobody seems to know for sure if they’re in yet.

Welp, all of my local GameStops are completely out of Koraidon and Miraidon codes and don’t expect to get more. I was there as early as I could after work, but that’s not enough apparently.
