late night gritty pics of my field guide notebook I'm making, slowly but surely 😁

Everblooming Forest @everbloomingforest.bsky.social · 28/09/2026

it does have 2 sentences on it in ancient Sinirihian in the middle though. including one word I had forgotten about so that's a cool discovery

the blue notebook is from when I was 18 years old and had just made my own alphabet. the cover looks mysterious but it only has my name and then a repetition of the alphabet 😂 that's how I practised. but at least I could decipher it and make a new sheet with the letters.

I have honestly been living so good since my head started clearing. I'm even scrapbooking again 😅 I honestly couldn't wait to get back to crafting/drawing. but healing depression is also literally healing your brain and body. there will be no energy to create before those have healed enough.

I've started watching Youtube again after 2 years since my depression. and wow the amount of videos telling how to end Doomscrolling habits is wild. I always knew that doing your hobbies is way healthier than your phone. 😆 I just needed to kick depression first.

the games needed quite some isoprop alcohol rubbing to work again but 9/10 ended up working 😁 I might replace the screen and casing once I'm confident enough to operate it 🤩 it's regular red one

I love retro gaming and also Zelda. 😁 my boyfriend gave me his old gameboy pocket, which sadly didn't work anymore. I already owned gba Zelda games for my DS so I finally got a GBA sp. he had 10 gb games so I had to try them all. ofc Zelda Link's awaking my fav 🤩 (lines in screen are normal, it old)

Everblooming Forest @everbloomingforest.bsky.social · 24/07/2026

I haven't been drawing much but I'm writing (again) 🙂 on my Everblooming Forest story. I haven't actually written much in all of its existence. but the last 2 years I've been writing a looottt. so at this stage the history is written, and now all the plot lines, characters and pretty much the comic.

I've made some paper from egg cartons lately! my demon hand that holds my night light fell of my wall so it's temporary a paper weight until I glue it back 😂

Everblooming Forest @everbloomingforest.bsky.social · 13/07/2026

yas, miss 😔 then I started making my own website but that's not the same

"but another side view of a dragon head is boring" my brain says. no it's not, 15 year old me loved doing this and loved creating and so stop hurting her with this luxury thought 😂

Everblooming Forest @everbloomingforest.bsky.social · 19/06/2026

starting another project is better than drawing nothing at all. is what I've been telling myself 🤷 fear of making 'bad' art and fear of ruining canvasses keeps me away from art too much. so another sketch book it is 😂

working my way through 😊 now just wingss

010

Everblooming Forest @everbloomingforest.bsky.social · 23/04/2026

boy I missed colouring mixed media. it's like magic, nothing on the paper and then you sculpt your way through. this is why this is my hyper focus lock in go to thing haha

000

Everblooming Forest @everbloomingforest.bsky.social · 19/04/2026

working on my main Oc well lookd at that 😁

010

Everblooming Forest @everbloomingforest.bsky.social · 13/04/2026

studying the variants of my Lorevana species. since they live on 3 different levels of the mangrove forest, they have developed different features through evolution regarding their claws, wings and tail mostly. Diet and teeth as well, that will be another study 📝

I have cleaned up my workspace to a decent amount 🙌 kicking my depression in the butt day by day. bonus desk now in my living room. surrounding myself with art vibes 😊 I can do it 👊

020

Everblooming Forest @everbloomingforest.bsky.social · 19/02/2026

I haven't drawn digitally in ??? I guess it's a combo of my past depression and the global digital tiredness (aka THAT terrible learning machine) that made me crave paper again. anyways this is a Lorevana diving for fish because I based that off of puffins who are awesome in fishing despite bird??

Everblooming Forest @everbloomingforest.bsky.social · 29/12/2025

This is Muffin (named after my OC ) he often scratches my face when he tries to land on me but I can't help but love him anyway 😂 pigeons are otherworldly soft and beautiful 🤷

Everblooming Forest @everbloomingforest.bsky.social · 15/12/2025

I got hundreds of art supplies and yet the simplest setup amuses me right now 😂 (my depression is clearing up btw, I moved house, living on my own and I'm slowly moving forward 😊)

000

Everblooming Forest @everbloomingforest.bsky.social · 15/12/2025

my boyfriend got me a new light for art so this is my lazy drawing setup in the living room 😅 gotta draw anywhere I can to motivate myself

000

Everblooming Forest @everbloomingforest.bsky.social · 15/12/2025

Hi my hyperfocus has always been birds and in this stage in my life it's pigeons and this bowling pin specifically who is my daily companion 😎
