They just announced a feature on YouTube where you can A/B/C test entire videos, like three different cuts of a video could show under one watch page. I will only use this feature for good things and not evil things, for sure.

I love testing progressively dumber thumbnail/titles, when the stupidest one wins it feels like hitting the juckport

YouTube thumbnail/title A/B/C test UI.

First, a image of Bren with CapCut lightning eyes, a shining gem, and Doctor Doom. The thumbnail text reads “GEM ALERT?”. The title is “Watching the OLD Fantastic Four…”

Second, an image of Bren with CapCut lightning eyes, a IMDb movie rating, and Doctor Doom. The thumbnail text reads “IF AVENGERS DOOMSDAY WAS GOOD” and the IMDb rating is 10.2 out of ten. The title is “Was The Old Fantastic Four Better?”

Third, an image in the style of the “friendship ended” meme. Bren (with CapCut lightning eyes) is next to Doctor Doom, and a crossed-out photo of Robert Downey Junior is in the bottom left. The thumbnail texts reads “FRIENDS ENDED WITH AVENGERS DOOMSDAY, FANTASTIC FOUR IS MY NEW BEST FRIEND” in colorful fonts, with the Avengers: Doomsday and Fantastic 4 logos being used. The title is “We have Dr Doom. at home.”

All thumbnails are preforming similarly, with the third falling one percent behind.
