The whole Black Mozart album is great, but this track absolutely rocks.

Had some workday animal encounters, recently!
A moth that my phone tells me is a polyphemous moth sits on the sidewalk. It has wide brown and tan stripes in its wings. A deer looks toward the camera from under the shade of a short tree in a garden. A deer eats grass in a garden.

Mid-work walk!
A wide grey rock path with offshoots cuts through a thriving desert garden with trees, bushes, and flowers. In the distance, you can see two large office buildings against a clear blue sky.

Went to refill my water bottle and came back to find a chair stealer. Tempted to let him have it and be done with work for the day!

The less basic idea here:
Diagram showing pathways through which new green space can impact residents’ mental health in positive and negative ways.

Positive: therapeutic value of visits to green space, aesthetic value, sense of community

Negative: barriers to use of new green space, sense of exclusion, increased surveillance, discrimination, perceived lack of safety, fear of exposures to historical contaminants in the area, loss of community and feeling unwelcome due to neighborhood demographic change, financial stress, risk of becoming unhoused, and landlord neglect

All manuscript-writing days deserve a work buddy. Pippin says hi!
Orange cat lies on a person’s lap while they sit at a computer desk. The cat is resting its head on the person’s arm, which extends onto the desk.

And this was about childhood vaccination requirements, same time.
Graphs showing agreement among various subgroups that vaccines should be required for school children. 90% of liberals, 84% of moderates, and 73% of conservatives said they agreed.

I don’t think Pew ran these same questions in the past, but this was about the measles vaccine in 2017.
Graphs showing agreement among various groups that measles vaccine benefits are high. 89% of Republicans and people who lean Republican agreed. 88% of Democrats and people who lean Democratic agreed.
