Tivoli Video in Kansas City, all art house film. Bob, one of the extremely knowledgeable clerks, once worked in Andy Warhol’s Factory. Got me interested in foreign film. Terribly missed.

B*Ware Video in Lakewood OH. All cult films, separated by genre such as Vampires, Zombies, Wrestling. Had the entire Something Weird catalog. Got my copy of Videohound’s Cult Flicks & Trash Flicks signed by the author, & the owners told them I was “a real one”. Terribly missed.

Sounds like they’re both terrible people.

Cocteau Twins “Treasure”. I did not own a cd player at the time and wouldn’t for another year or so until I could afford one.

Spent too much when I was there in January, but I regret not getting a t-shirt. A really great shop.

It’s ok. I agree some people speak too much, but since losing my ability to speak effectively I greatly appreciate when I can. Thanks for understanding.

As a disabled person with a speech disorder who has difficulty speaking the necessary, I’d say that’s one way to look at it, but you do you.

The worst feeling when you make a tape of songs you love off the radio with such care to hit that pause button to start recording at the exact moment a DJ stops talking only later to have that tape get eaten was soul crushing 😭😅

Not my joke but if Sade is pronounced Sharday then Slade is pronounced Shlarday. You’re welcome.

I pushed back against Corp Team who designed a product featuring an easily Googled incorrect Lincoln “quote”, & said our most eloquent President would never say something so trite. I was forever labeled as difficult.

At this point, I'd say that if you truly want to make a difference: Cancel Prime, Netflix, Disney+ ... in fact, cancel all streaming services. Go get a Blu-Ray player and buy DVDs and BluRays from Goodwill or the Library. Buy books from Used Bookstores. Buy stuff locally - community grown
