Evan Pincus @evanpincus.bsky.social · 22/12/2025These are songs about the Corn Belt and some of the people in it... or on it. Come see Robert Ashley's classic television opera Perfect Lives on 1/16/2026 at @whammyanalog.bsky.social, presented by T.A.P.E. Analog. Doors at 7:30, screening at 8:00. Long live the avant-garde! 021

Evan Pincus @evanpincus.bsky.social · 29/08/2025I’m the guy they hired to write all the archival Arthur Russell material. They actually ran out of Arthur Russell songs in 2011 and ever since it’s been me. I’m sorry you had to find out this way. 020

Evan Pincus @evanpincus.bsky.social · 13/08/2025People keep enthusiastically telling me that NYC theaters are quoting my Letterboxd reviews in their Instagram promo material like I’m supposed to care or be happy about it. I’m not a clout chaser and I’m not from NYC, I don’t care that Anthology Film Archives knows who I am as a poster. 120

Evan Pincus @evanpincus.bsky.social · 04/07/2025It’s cool that ITAOTS is good enough that they let Jeff get away with all the Anne Frank weirdness. If he’d written a third Two Headed Boy he’d have probably been able to commit a murder or two. 000

Evan Pincus @evanpincus.bsky.social · 09/06/2025Went to an “Arthur Russell Day” event a friend was playing at. Evan Pincus @evanpincus.bsky.social · 06/06/2025I’m reading David Toop’s Haunted Weather and, unsurprisingly, Toop is *so weird* about Japanese art and artists. We need a book that discusses American sound art like this - fuck it, explain how John Cage’s innovations date back to the revolutionary atmosphere of the colonial era, why not? 000
