Imagine if Republicans attacked hunger, pedophiles, racism, disease, genocide, poverty, and climate change the way they attack American voters.

I recently heard the analogy of AI writing being the same as ordering a pizza. You will it into existance by describing it to someone and paying for it, "a 12" pizza, half mushroom, half pepperoni, extra cheese, jalapeños on the side" yes you described it, but in no way did you actually make it.

you can see in the video they had multiple cameras, did multiple takes, and if you've ever done astrophotography (based on your comment I'm assuming that's a big no) the sun actually moves in the sky, and a lot quicker than you'd think especially with a very long lens.

I am as old as these words - x-rated, spork, skate park, punk rock, gigabyte, hot pants and chimichanga. that list probably explains a lot about me.

These stores can make a choice: treat me like a potential customer, or treat me like a potential criminal. I'll shop at the ones that treat me as a customer, and not spend my money at the ones that see me as a potential criminal first. If I see shampoo or deodorant behind plexi, i leave. the end.

Shorts make from 100% silky schadenfreude.

000

Evan Mathis @evanmathis.co · 14/07/2026

True, sort of. I've always been "the photo nerd" in my circles, so I get a lot of "hey I have this film that I'm never going to shoot, do you want it?" (which is how I happened on this roll) so not intentional cost savings at all. But with color, I pay for processing, B&W is all done at home.

000

Evan Mathis @evanmathis.co · 14/07/2026

Sometimes it pays off. I had a roll of unbranded 400 C41 sitting around for I don't know how many years (mostly because I didn't have a 35mm camera for 20 something years) and then threw it in my M5 and got some pretty great stuff.

2/2 Last week, the sky outside was perfect, but I had some unbranded 400 iso color negative film already loaded in the M5 that had been sitting on a shelf for who knows how many years, so even though it wasn't perfect i just went. and I'm glad I did.

Evan Mathis @evanmathis.co · 03/07/2026

1/2 This is one of those shots I had in my head for a while. I just never had the right film in the right camera, or was too preoccupied with life to travel the whole 2 blocks to go shoot it. Leica M5, Voigtlander Nokton 40mm 1.2, Unknown 400 ISO film #believeinfilm #photography #film

Tempting. But I told myself that I was only gong to buy / use / shoot one lens on my M5 for the first year, and I've only had it for 6 months. (Voigtlander Nokton 40mm 1.2, which very much is an everyday lens for me)

I saw this show in 2008 / DC when my wife was doing NiN's PR. Initially i was watching from the side of the stage and realized i was missing a huge part of the show so i went out front and watched the show from there. still a fave.
