Huh. This pairs well with the social post that told me to butter both my hands and call me Mr Buttersworth.

FF:FS was meh. I was really hoping for something impactful. The Incredibles-esque retro-futurist aesthetic is cool, but…that’s about it. And it didn’t end how I expected, given the Thunderbolts post-credits scene. Like, I get it. I get what’s happening. But meh.

TIL that “catamaran” comes from the Tamil (a South Asian language) word “kattumaram”, meaning “logs bound together”. So cool, although I wonder why English can’t just call it a kattumaram. Like, we have all those sounds. 🤷🏼‍♂️

I’m just a slightly #colorblind boy, standing in front of the internet, pleading with web developers to make on/off indicators have high contrast and/or very obvious color change. It’s gonna look dumb if you can see this easily, but I can barely distinguish between these.

This was part of a cast gift from a #SteveMartin -penned stage play called Meteor Shower, that I was in. Obviously her name is Moonjoy, now. And since she’s clearly an on-the-moon ‘naut, as soon as the first woman to walk on the moon does so, she’ll be named after her too.

Y’ALL. I have just made the most gorgeous & functional spreadsheet of my life, for a current project, based on Gwen Hayes’ “Romancing The Beat” story structure. Much spread. Very sheet. Big excite.

‘Round these parts we call it “If it hurts, make it art,” but I guess “turn your trauma into content” works too. 🤭

All respect to #CharlieCox, but….why was he cast as #DareDevil at all? Like, based on WHAT? I’m truly baffled, given this interview: youtube.com/shorts/24rAi...

‘Hey’ came before ‘hi,’ and ‘hi' came before ‘hello.’ ‘Hi’ is most likely a variant of ‘hey.’ ‘Hello’ is not related to either. Goodbye.

I think humans are obsessed with our own hands (eyes, a close second) because they’re the primary sensory tool. …which makes me think that non-human societies would similarly represent themselves in their art. Something to consider when #worldbuilding

Human-made art (or as I like to call it, art) is often a great reminder of the value of looking closely, and also from a distance.
