The EU exports 1.4 million tonnes of used #textiles per year to Africa and Asia. Despite the professional and skilled #secondhand operators in importing countries, when what arrives is too low quality to resell, it becomes #waste, polluting the environment and pushing retailers into debt.

❓ When will all products have the Digital Product Passport? ❓ Will the DPP provide enough added value compared to the cost of data collection? ❓ Will the DPP encourage more sustainable purchasing decisions? While we do know some things about the DPP, there are more questions than answers.
