A long time ago (in a galaxy far away) I grew weed up in Sonoma County. I had turkey vultures living close who made sure any rodents in my garden were quickly dispatched.They'd post up on the fence while I worked and sun themselves. I have a very large tattoo of one that covers my calf cos of this.

After the third person said "you *have* to make this" I did. I was hoping it wasn't good because nice pistachio paste is $$$! Sadly, it was delicious and I had to spend literally hundreds of dollars on a tub. I didn't like the big bar so I fill smaller bars and bonbons with it. Sells out immediately

Got to make one of my favorite cakes for a friend’s v-day birthday. Persian Love Cake: lemon-cardamom chiffon cake with saffron-rosewater whipped cream “frosting”. Like eating clouds of roses.

Every year for Valentine's Day I name two of my bonbon collections "Wild at Heart" & "...And Weird on Top". This year one will have a cherry pie bonbon and the other a black coffee bonbon. RIP to the King of Weird

I have a special single-serving dutch baby cast iron that I use a lot!

Good Morning! It’s raining here so this is all I’ve seen of my dogs.

Two large paws, belonging to a pittie, stick out from under a purple blanket. Under the paws is a sheet with pink and green flowers.The bed is messy and unmade, as usual.

One lone grey dog ear pokes out from under a purple blanket, surround by faded, paisley sheets. Bulleit the pittie makes these “forts” all the time when it gets cold.

Sunset with lots of telephone poles and wires. Sky is layers of grey, light blue, lavender, pink, orange and yellow. Was taken in August, known in the sf bay area as "fogust" when clouds and sun make for amazing sunsets.

Show me your Beaver….Moon! A lil 2-pc treats for tonight’s popup at Devil’s Canyon Brewery in San Carlos.

I appreciate that! I'm spoiled to live in the sf bay area, so I have access to farmer's markets, fresh eggs (I used to have my own chickens, then I got a big ol' pittie who thought they were toys, lol), but dairy is gonna hurt. I'm hoping all the threatened deregulation falls short!

They are also super easy to make with 6 ingredients and you can mix your cheeses (stick with hard cheese!) & spices and burn them to the perfect burn-ness. I have made them way too many times. food52.com/recipes/3189...
