In September, the Global Health Symposium brought together 160 participants at Maastricht University to discuss "Emergency Preparedness for Extreme Weather and Climate-Related Health Threats". EMS Europe was represented at the symposium by Dr Freddy Lippert, Dr Pierre Carli & Jaap-Frank Ponstein.

It is with great sadness that we honour the passing of Prof. Douglas Chamberlain, a true resuscitation giant and mentor to members of EMS Europe. Douglas was an inspiring man whose dedication to pre-hospital care will forever guide us. At the 2022 EMS Congress he was awarded the European EMS Award.
