There is absolutely no way that both the Greenland and Denmark leaders made such positive statements about this if there was actual capitulation going on.

Right, but back then, we probably didn't have as much fight in us with regards to diversification and bringing production home. The tariffs this time would hurt, but they are not something we can't deal with. Especially if Trump has to get rid of thousands of American jobs to make true on his threat

This actually isn't so bad. But, and I'm sure this has already been said, there isn't room for complacency.

That did involve an officer getting shot, as well as lots of guns being involved in some way. Still a BS sentence, but very different than this, and this case is also in Minnesota, not Texas

But they've already said for this case that they acknowledge that violence wasn't the issue here. This isn't like the Prarieland case, so I'm not sure what the feds are gonna do.

sexual. Anti-trans BS out in full force as usual, I see.

FFS, these articles are being stupid. The website advertising these dolls doesn't even mention genitalia. They would literally be paper dolls. And unless you grew up somewhere extremely conservative, you knew about body parts, including genitalia at a relatively young age without that being

And no LPC drop, which is good, for now at least, so the CPC have no chance of getting back in power.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but this was a win by 37 points in 2024 for Trump, and similar for Greene before. The way things are going, this stands to be a double digit improvement for the Dems here, which is quite big, especially in a district as red as this one.

Maybe this is dense of me, but is this saying that it's good to eat for your own enjoyment?

It's especially crazy for Reform and Labour to try to act like this can't apply to the entire country. Manchester was one of the longest holdouts for Labour, ever. If it can happen in Manchester, it can happen across the country.

I mean, I don't care much for the CPC, but the budget amendments here were good. The Liberals wanted to give corporations uncontrolled power, the amendment stops that. For once, I'm with the CPC here.

Relax, this one isn't passing. All Dems have voted against in committee, so Governor Hobbs isn't signing it.

It technically doesn't set a precedent as a district court, but it was decided based on the US Constitution. Plus, I can't imagine a Kansas district court of all places has particularly liberal judges on it to begin with, so this ruling is really promising.

Thankfully, Governor Hobbs exists, and this bill is really vague, so this is certainly not going through and becoming law.

Even if they are close, the PQ would win. Apparently, the Liberals vote distribution is too centered in Montreal, and nowhere else.

If she says it's unclear, that means a preliminary injunction specifically isn't happening. In a more final ruling, the merits of the sides wouldn't be unclear. The judge left open the possibility to litigate on more specific claims than what the plaintiffs wanted.
100 1
euroman.eurosky.social @euroman.eurosky.social · 31/01/2026
Read the specific ruling please. If last week's injunction was struck down, there was no way this one wouldn't be. There is still room to file for an injunction on other specific issues of the surge.

euroman.eurosky.social @euroman.eurosky.social · 31/01/2026
Please don't spread something false like that. She correctly stated that if the injunction she granted last week didn't hold up, this one certainly wouldn't. It leaves the door open to keep chipping away at more specific aspects of the enforcement surge.

Everyone has enough stuff on our plates right now. Worrying about things that just flat out aren't happening isn't helping anything.

Yeah, just like I thought, if you look up the bill, the only recent activity on it is two co-sponsors added in the last 9 months. It has been in committee for almost a year with no progress. I like you Mike, but please specify this stuff if you want to talk about bills like this.

Lmao, this isn't going anywhere, you can't just cut out key portions of the Miller test, especially after the Supreme Court said intermediate scrutiny should apply, not the lowest standard of scrutiny for age verification.

Guys, I know a lot of people don't like the Conservatives, I don't care for them either, but this poll is far from suggesting more than half the province wants to leave lol. The polling has always put separatism somewhere in the 20% range.

You could argue that because the number is significantly lower than in 1995, they largely have learned.

I'm aware, but when this admin is clearly trying to throw as much shit at the wall to see what sticks, it's not good to give equal attention to everything.

Remember, this could easily run afoul of FSC v Paxton, since that talked about intermediate scrutiny for adult content.

Look, I'm not saying Republicans aren't awful, but this one probably has zero chance of actually going through. Courts have already started to block the social media ban, there's no way this will become law.
110 1
euroman.eurosky.social @euroman.eurosky.social · 14/01/2026
Look at his history. This is somehow the least awful thing he's said. And his polling is literally 1% in the primary, he's not winning anything lol.
100 1
euroman.eurosky.social @euroman.eurosky.social · 09/01/2026
Probably a lot. The actual poll divides the people who apparently want to separate into 'strongly' and 'kinda', so I have to assume lots of people aren't being genuine about actually wanting to separate.
000 0
euroman.eurosky.social @euroman.eurosky.social · 09/01/2026
Lol, so in reality it's barely 20%. You can't assume people who say 'moderately support' on a survey like this aren't just airing frustrations, instead of actually wanting to leave.

euroman.eurosky.social @euroman.eurosky.social · 08/01/2026
Is it really a gap if you add together NDP and Liberal votes? There seems to be only a 1 point difference between men and women if you do that.

euroman.eurosky.social @euroman.eurosky.social · 05/01/2026
I knew it, lmao. Their 'report' would only ever involve talking about 'too much bias' and 'ignoring of the harms' that all credible studies have already shown are not a thing anyway.

Also, they would never, at least to a large extent, replace the oil that's right next to them. Too expensive, no matter what they do.

I would imagine the proximity to Canada makes it impossible for changes to happen, similar to getting potash from Russia and Belarus instead of Canada. And of course, needing a country so far away means no added benefits for American workers.
110 1
euroman.eurosky.social @euroman.eurosky.social · 03/01/2026
And on top of that, nothing can get rid of how we are the closest country with lots of resources to the US. Also, needing another country's resources means no domestic benefits for American workers.
000 0
euroman.eurosky.social @euroman.eurosky.social · 03/01/2026
Lol, this is like getting potash from Russia and Belarus. Nothing can ever change the fact we are right next to the US, and have a land border, so our resources will always be infinitely less expensive.

This is likely because progressives don't like Carney btw. And it still leaves the Conservatives out of power. This is a good thing

Pride and beach bikinis wouldn't be included here, unless I missed something reading the full bill.

euroman.eurosky.social @euroman.eurosky.social · 03/01/2026
Ok, while I'm not saying Republicans aren't awful, and they would be willing to go too far, this bill does talk about this being limited to businesses that offer sexual things as part of their business model. Check Legiscan for the full text, if you want.

It seems like that's what happened with other lawsuits at porn sites, like what Kansas did. At the very least, this will be in court for a long time, at least a year.

The issue with that right now is the NDP (or Bloc, maybe) are not going to be looked well upon by the general population for obstructing with so few seats. They can only really be a force for good if they get a lot more power, in terms of seats, and in the meantime the Cons will only stand to gain.
