Hello, just wondering if the strong Southerly winds that are forecast for tomorrow are favourable for sea watching at Dunge or not? Considering a day out tomorrow with Dunge one of the options. Many thanks

This year's been the first I've seen Redstarts at the northern end of the hills. Having seen the singing male in spring and now that juv, very pleasing!

Hi Brian, I was up there today, and saw 1 juv Redstart and a striking male Stonechat in the valley on the east side of North Hill, is that chat valley? Also juv peregrine over Malvern earlier begging to an adult.

Saturday (15th) was my birthday, but it was also the day a Grey Phalarope, my long-standing nemesis and bogey bird was found on KGV Res. What a birthday treat to finally see one of these spinny fuckers @gdh56.bsky.social 😉 I did have to wait until yesterday to get point blank views though!

Putting the time in doing some vismig in-between making breakfast and getting the kids off to school paid off today with a WOODLARK ✅ flying high S calling over my N London garden at 08:08! Beats the 2 Great Egret a few mornings ago! Crossbill and Ouzel next please... #londonbirds #lowcaronbirding

Yes, they will be Common Buzzards. Honey Buzzards are rare/scarce migrants with a small breeding population in the UK.

Some of the local wildlife in Enfield last week on Vicarage Farm. Always great to catch up with Whinchat as they pass through, hoping for Redstart next, especially as we didn't get any autumn birds last year on patch. #londonbirds @rspb.bsky.social #enfield #saveenfieldgreenbelt #lowcarbonbirding
