iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

Figured out the issue via @hellaphim.bsky.social on Bluesky. On my previous computer, I had Cyberlink PowerDVD installed to watch Blu-rays, my current computer, I did not install said program. I’ll go onto the site, download my purchased copy, think it was 23, and install it when I get home.

020

That does make sense, I did have that program on my previous computer but didn’t install it on my current one. Last version I bought is a couple years but should still work.

010

The light was on the drive was active when the disc was inserted, like it was working, but it didn’t show a new drive or any program to see what’s on it.

I was going to try to get clips from the commentary of Hazbin Hotel Season 2 Blu-ray, but for some reason my external blu ray wasn’t registering on my PC. I kept getting a hardware error like when my mic gets loose and disconnects. When it seemed to work, nothing popped up.

Forgot to mention before going to bed, I put together both of the graphic comic boxes I got together, and put my comics in them. They were all previously alphabetized, bagged, and boarded, but spined on a shelf in a bookcase. Now the spider-man is A-L, and the Midnight is M-Z.

Day 2 of my current workweek was a pretty chill day, it was a 1st day of it being more cooler and stayed sunny. Work was decently paced, I wasn't running around like it was busy.

000

Last Bonus: I need some comic boxes to store all these comics I've been buying so I also grabbed both the Marvel Graphic Comic Box - Midnight, and Marvel Graphic Comic Box - Spider-Man Black Costume Saga.

000

Bonus Pickups: Since my birthday is coming up, and I was eyeing it for a bit, I also purchased the Batman Beyond: The Animated Series Classics Compendium – 25th Anniversary Edition Trade Paperback. I collected these as a kid as they were coming out and sadly those issues as gone.

100

and lastly from Titan Comics, I grabbed UFO Robot Grendizer #3.

100

From Image Comics, I picked up G.I. Joe: A Real American Hero / Tomb Raider #1, and as a bonus Avengelyne #1 Cover H Rob Liefeld Midnight Variant,

100

From Marvel, it's the big launch of the Midnight line. I got Midnight Fantastic Four #1, Midnight Spider-Man #1, and Midnight X-Men #1.

100

Batman #14 Cover B Dan Mora Variant, DC's Quoth the Raven… Whatever #1 Cover C Jessica Fong Variant, and Superman: The Stranger #2 Cover C Matt Taylor Variant

I was at my local comic store for a good bit of time, almost 2 hours, as I waited for the comics to be checked in but I got them, which was quite a bit, and some bonuses. Pics are coming soon, as there's a bunch.

Never did I thought my work radio station would play Space Age Love Song by A Flock of Seagulls but that what’s happening right now.

‪Just to add some personal stuff but not got super into my personal finances, this was the only yearly bill I pay in June. That will migrate over to the new service as is about the same price but with new comics added quicker than before.‬

000

Kinda interesting to see news of the Marvel Unlimited app being shutdown in December, with a new service powered by Webtoon taking its place, with a similar subscription model, launching in November. What’s also funny is it’s using the same name as another previous shutdown app.

Checking my tracking numbers today, both my Hazbin Hotel BFF promo cards and the Season 2 Blu-ray will indeed be delivered today, as they are out for delivery right now. Also, I'll have to check with the owner, but I will of course be getting this week's new comics today as well.

000

I saw some cool games and some toys. Since it's new the shelves weren't all filled yet but it was very well organized. I saw some sealed Lucasfilm Games for PC, a misprinted copy of Final Fantasy VII, the Dreamcast version of Resident Evil 2, and a very expensive Intellivision.

100

Might be a good chance it will be there.

010

The figure I was looking at getting was decently priced but just a bit out of my range right now. They wanted $60 for an unopened 1999 McFarlane Toys action figure, so fingers crossed it stays till I can grab it after payday.

000

Over $220 for Spider-Man Web of Shadows on PS3 for example, a sealed PSOne for around $600 Resident Evil 2 on the Dreamcast for $129.99, disc only. I also saw sealed box copes of Lucasfilm Games PC titles like Rebel Assault and Secret of Monkey Island.

On my lunch break, I went to this new retro game store and it’s quite neat. There was a similar store in a mall like 15-20 minutes away from my home I went to a handful of years ago (Like pre and post 2020) they had some games that shock in how much they were charging.

200

I’m getting asked about this now on other platforms, so I’ll share an update from the same user from a few days ago The book was removed completely from retailer listings. They think there could be news at either NYCC or when the publisher puts out their next new releases catalog

Can’t attend the upcoming New York Comic Con and get the Overlord Husk Funko Pop!? Weeeell he will be available at Hot Topic as an exclusive either at the start or after NYCC. #HazbinHotel #Husk #Funko

Starting Day 1 of my current workweek, the weather is sunshine but very low 60s temps, I had to pop on the trusty green coat. Work is, as par for the course, slow to start, with it going to be picking up near the afternoon. My plan to visit the newly opened game store remain BTW.

Found out a new store opened up today near my work, on the way I go to get to my local Hot Topic. It's a retro game store that also sells older toys as well. I have to check it out when I'm on my lunch break tomorrow.
