We are on a mission: to power Africa with clean energy. President @vonderleyen.ec.europa.eu announced a partnership aligning the EU's Scaling Up Renewables in Africa initiative with the World Bank's Mission 300, which aims to provide electricity to 300 million Africans by 2030. More info ↓
A digital graphic features a blue background with a pink silhouette of the African continent, highlighting several locations in red. The title at the top, in yellow and black text, reads: 'The European Commission and the World Bank join forces to promote renewable energy in Africa.' Below, white text introduces 'Joint Projects Include:' followed by four yellow-bordered text boxes detailing projects:

Cameroon: Support for the Nachtigal 420 MW hydropower plant and dam, increasing electricity supply by 30% and improving rural electrification.
Zambia and Zimbabwe: Rehabilitation of the Kariba Dam to improve energy reliability, providing 2,130 MW of power and producing 10,000 GWh of renewable energy annually.
Zambia-Tanzania-Kenya Interconnector: Linking the Southern and Eastern Africa Power Pools to enhance regional electricity trade, security, and economic development while reducing hydrological risks.
Malawi: Construction of a 361 MW hydropower plant in Mpatamanga.
The European Union flag is positioned in the bottom right corner.
