breaking news: the mudwing can now be tiny I still need to adjust the step paramaters some more to make it look at least moderately less derpy, but it is oddly amusing running around like this heh

I like to think, in headcanon, that dragons are like big cats in many ways. That includes big morning stretches! Another lovely piece done by @arven.bsky.social !

A large brown earth dragon stretching in a rather cat-like manner.

Just because Summer is *technically* over, doesn't mean you can't enjoy some time on the beach! A wonderfully cozy piece of my second 'sona Rythus, done by @ozanthium.bsky.social - Thank you again^^!

thinking about FinalIK and the Mudwing during breakfast… I *may* be *at least slightly* hyper fixated ( Picture taken by Bulvej on VRC)

The WIP will not have all of the features of the final model, but I want to make sure the features that *are* there work well.

Ethyriel @ethyriel.bsky.social · 27/09/2026

If I had to put a number to it, I'd say the Mudwing edit is ~50% complete. I've decided to focus recently on polishing most of the existing features + adding things like the hue shifts and menu icons for everything, in anticipation of the public WIP. (image related)

Spent the past few days working on lots of small bugfixes and QOL tweaks for the Mudwing. Still no ETA on the public WIP, but we're getting there! (picture related)

Slowly but surely, the Mudwing edit is progressing to the point where I'd be ready to post a public WIP avatar. There's still a lot of stuff I need to do between now and then, and even more to do between then and a final release, but several big features (like wing control) are progressing nicely!

Y'all want some behind the scenes stuff? During early production on @fuskybutt.bsky.social's set I tasked @sillybeanthing.bsky.social with modeling and rigging this lovely little dragon to represent their partner @cynra.gay, which I retopologized and animated.

Stage flight today was absolutely incredible- I used the Mudwing for a majority of it. Probably spent at least 1/3rd of the event airborne! (...my arms are going to be very sore tomorrow *wheeze*) Awesome photo by Kessedrian over on Discord
