etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 24/06/2025Blueprint for next season of Doctor Who. #DoctorWho 000
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 04/05/2025Yeah, he and all of Think Tank have to do and don’t believe that UNIT are faking aliens at the same time. Including their inside man who works in the same building as actual aliens. 010
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 03/05/2025And I can't believe they missed an opportunity to fix the apparent time jump between 'Space Babies' and 'The Devil's Chord'. So close! 000
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 03/05/2025I think you could have had 'Love and Monsters' story and the dangers of trying to be like the Doctor, without the twist. If you go down the hoax route it needs to make sense why Think Tank would believe that was the case. 100
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 03/05/2025Also, if Think Tank think UNIT create the aliens, why would they turn up to the Shreek sighting, since they'd 'know' they weren't responsible for these aliens. It doesn't make sense that Think Tank think it would be a hoax. 100
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 03/05/2025While it was good to address the issue of weaponised misinformation, it doesn't really work within the setting itself. For Conrad to believe aliens are being faked, along with the inside man who knows there are aliens in the basement, seems delusional. 100
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 03/05/2025The reveal about Conrad and public turning against UNIT comes much too late and so the pacing seems off (could really have done with being a two parter), and UNIT again coming off as looking ineffective. 100
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 03/05/2025'Lucky Day' didn't really work for me. It was nice to see Ruby again, and liked the out of order events for the Doctor, it seems like just like '73 Yards' the pub under siege plot is used as a fake-out, so much of the episode is a deception. #DoctorWho #doctorwhofanart 100
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 27/04/2025I was very captivated by Rose Ayling-Ellis's performance as Aliss, very expressive. The story wouldn't have worked if we didn't care about her. I like how early on she seems evasive, but in retrospect we can see this is because she avoiding revealing she is 'infected'. #DoctorWho 020
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 26/04/2025I loved the world building that they introduced with Caoilfhionn Dunne's Shaya Costallion. The stories of the wildlands and the glimpse of fire and dragon skulls was very evocative. Her heroic sacrifice was a well filmed sequence that I thought was very effective. #DoctorWho 010
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 26/04/2025It was interesting that the Doctor deferred to Belinda. They were also both learning that they still had some ways to overcome their own ingrained views. The altered history without Earth reminded my of a similar storyline in Big Finish's Stranded boxsets. 000
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 26/04/2025The Well' was a great atmospheric sci-fi horror, with another neat concept, supported by an excellent cast, especially Caoilfhionn Dunne and Rose Ayling-Ellis. Loved the design of the base and the creeping horror. 1/2 #DoctorWho #doctorwhofanart 100
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 19/04/2025But how unimpressed was that kid that a cartoon character was climbing out of the screen? 000
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 19/04/2025It was a nice touch having the sketch lines appearing on the Doctor and Belinda as they were transformed into cartoons. 100
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 19/04/2025It is strange that the 'gods' seem to be undone by the thing they are the gods of, and we've seen the whole 'over feeding' tactic used against villains before, but Mr Ring-a-Ding's ascension was oddly beautiful. 111
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 19/04/2025Mr Ring-A-Ding was a great design, whether in 2D or 3D. Nice that Belinda actually questioned what he was supposed to be. The antenna suggest he is some kind of bug man. 141
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 19/04/2025Lux' was another good, high concept episode. Better executed than 'Devil's Chord', the 1950s setting was well employed, the combination of the 2D animation with the real world well done, and a fourth wall break that actually felt meaningful. #DoctorWho #doctorwhofanart 130
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 12/04/2025It felt like a classic 1960s story where Belinda (and the viewer) jumped to the last episode, which is a good way to handle it. I liked that Belinda was quick to start helping the rebels with changing IV bags, rather than just standing by. All good signs for the rest of the season. 010
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 12/04/2025Sasha's death managed to pack a punch, despite her limited screentime. They got across that the Doctor picks up companions, but not all survive. I'm glad they took a beat to show the effect this had on him. 021
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 12/04/2025The Mrs Flood cameo and her 4th wall breaking was fun at the start, and surprise reveal of who was behind the AI Generator was well handled. I thought the disintegration effect was really eye-catching, the way the victims would freeze and then sizzle away. 100
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 12/04/2025'The Robot Revolution' was a good start to the series. I liked how hands on Belinda was, it looked great , interesting mysteries set up and use of time travel. The Doctor having spent 6 months with the rebels felt like a nod to classic Who. #DoctorWho 121
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 19/03/2025Few Doctor Who stories capture atmosphere like City of Death. The real Paris locations make it feel alive in a way that a set never could. Here’s my take on a moment outside Notre Dame. #DoctorWho #DrWhoArt #CityOfDeath" 031
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 09/03/2025The post-apocalyptic imagery in 'Genesis of the Daleks' is really striking. This piece is inspired by some of our first views of battle-scarred and poisoned Skaro. #DoctorWho #DrWhoArt #GenesisOfTheDalek 000
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 02/03/2025One of Doctor Who’s most intense moments—Ace and the Doctor facing a firing squad in The Curse of Fenric. I love how this story weaves time travel, war, and mythology with Ace right at the centre. Here’s my reimagining of that scene. #DoctorWho #DrWhoArt 021
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 18/01/2025And unlike making the microwave bigger on the inside (which seems an intentional action and he is pretending not to know this), his reaction seems genuine so he probably isn't joking. So it works as a bit for a tv episode, but not for the reality of the show. 3/3 000
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 18/01/2025The manipulator isn't the gun and so can't be 'armed'. The Doctor would know that, and even if he is making a joke he is making it to someone who won't get the reference (unless she remembers the brief 'Revolution of the Daleks' Defence Drones/Invasion). 2/3 111
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 18/01/2025While I enjoyed 'Joy To The World' the "is it armed?" joke only works on a surface level, and to only the most casual of viewers. Obviously the plunger has a passing resemblance to a Dalek manipulator (aside from being the wrong colour)...but 1/3 #DoctorWho 111
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 10/01/2025Loved how Longlegs blended a procedural serial killer investigation with satanic horror. Nicolas Cage was phenomenal as the titular character, leaving a lasting impact despite limited screentime. #Longlegs 011
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 09/01/2025Ogrons surround the Doctor in this re-imagined scene from 'Day of the Daleks'! Love the time-travel element of this story, with soldiers from the future desperately trying to prevent a Dalek-conquered timeline. #DoctorWho #DrWho #DrWhoArt #Ogrons 021
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 04/01/2025Looking forward to Jodi Whittaker returning to the role of the Doctor in the Big Finish audios so thought I'd do a little tribute to when we saw her last in 'Power of the Doctor'. #DoctorWho #tardis #fanart #13thdoctor 061
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 29/12/2024'Enlightenment' is a great 5th Doctor story, with strong visuals, a surreal concept, and bringing Turloughs' subplot of being a pawn of the Black Guardian to a close. This is my interpretation of those final scenes, where Turlough makes his choice. #DoctorWho #DrWho 011
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 25/12/2024Enjoyed the Dr Who Christmas special 'Joy To The World'. Neat concept, kept me guessing, and Nicola Coughlan was excellent as Joy. The ending was similar to Dan Slotts' run on Silver Surfer. I had to put together a little tribute. #DoctorWho, #DrWho 032

etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 24/11/2024I think one of the best things Big Finish did was give the Doctors new companions. Of course I love the original companions but new companions give us a chance to see different sides to the Doctor and so many of the Big Finish companions have become iconic in their own right. #DoctorWho 010
etheruk.bsky.social @etheruk.bsky.social · 23/11/2024I thought it was enjoyable for what it was and you were great. Loved your narration of ‘The Steel Cascade’, especially your performance as Barbara. Still have the Big Finish audio to listen to. 000
