iiinova — where your digital self keeps evolving

I’m still sorting out my feelings. My mom passed last week after fighting cancer for 6 years. Make sure you all get regular check ups and make use of the time you have.

Maybe because I’m now an unc, but what’s with the Coldplay hate?

I’m going. I can’t sit around and watch. Have to do something.

Depends on what I’m doing. If I’m actively watching or rather listening along.

Getting lost in tears of the kingdom is just something that makes my heart sing.

Nice! I needed the motivation to get moving.

Some days I think back to my early days on MSN Chats where a bunch of nerds did fantasy role play. Writing out fights in extremely verbose paragraphs to score points. I miss it at times.

Oh super cool! Have a great time.

For those facing layoffs. I know it’s scary. Take it day by day. Get the care you need.

So I haven’t posted in a bit. It’s going to be a weird few years. In lighter news. I really love what I do for a living.

Social media fascinates me sometimes. What rises to the top and who interacts with whom. I think sometimes I tend to just read a stream of thought, from inception to death.

Working on a feature when everything just clicks is a dream.

Today was a great day. In my free time making my own open use version of a certain TTRPG app. Just for fun. I love being a developer!

Some of the best things in life are simple. My wife watching a television show with the fire going in the fireplace. Me reading a book. Just a great evening. #happy

Sometimes being in a good work place really does help. For two years I watch my skills atrophy as my self confidence diminished. Being at my new place of employment for only a month has given me so much joy in being a developer again.

Really loving my new job. It’s given me a lot of confidence in my development skills. Toxic workplaces can really make you forget how talented you are.

I’m really enjoying this new job. I have time to just relax after work. I think I’m going to start writing again. It’s crazy that once you’re in a healthy work environment, you tend to have time to enjoy things.

At what point do you stop ordering through Amazon and just go to The manufacturer?

It’s like I live in crazy town. These people keep spouting family values and are rarely held accountable for not following what they demand from everyone else.

One of the things that made me happy giving up the other social media, my brain feels better. I was giving to much of my attention arguing with strangers about dumb stuff. Like wrestling and sports.

Just a reminder. Check on your friends. After the holidays are over we go back to our routines and that can be exhausting for some. #Depression

Turkey almost done. Should start the ham in about an hour. I have no idea how my Mother wasn’t dead tired making this meal every Thanksgiving and Christmas.

The boy and the heron was a great movie. Animation was moving and vivid. I would recommend it to anyone.

I get it kids. It can be fun to argue and proclaim who deserves which award, however I’ll put out this nugget. If you loved Spider-Man 2 it’s valid, Baldur’s Gate 3, it’s valid, or any other title. Don’t let a game award take away your appreciation of the product. #GOTY

The peace I have now that I’m not working 16 hours a day is phenomenal. I can’t believe I was putting in that pace.

The thing about losing a bad job, there is a sense of relief but a bit of sadness . Mostly due to the rejection aspect, even though you hated it. Aw well to freedom.
