It's nice to have a Monday off for once. Even if that time off is spent doing laundry 😂. Aiming to have the streaming space tidied up a bit today. Linkin Park is helping! Have a great day everyone!

3) Started God of War: Ragnarök finally... I remember why I enjoyed GOW 2018 so much. Can't wait to play more! 4) Been streaming GTA IV: The Lost and Damned. Rockstar really cooked with GTA IV and it's DLCs. Amazing stuff. 5) Trophy/achievement hunting again. It is satisfying! [2/2]

Haven't posted on here for a while again... whoops. Here's what's been going on recently in the world of Eternal: 1) Hades Main Quest completed 😍 - I adore this game. Going for 100% now. 2) Played a lot of SSX 3...ITS SO GOOD. Go try it out if you haven't yet. [1/2]

It pains me to say it but technically, yes. It's over 20 years old now, and 7th gen consoles are 2 generations ago which is what is generally considered retro. I depends who you speak to though. 7th generation games/consoles still feel modern enough to not be considered retro 😅

The Winter Olympics is making me want to skiing again! That's off the cards right now though. Maybe next year. In the meantime, I can revisit a wonderful series from my childhood with SSX 3!

It's all good! I don't even know if there was any audio from my end 😆. The mic may have cut off because I think I was squealing with laughter haha

Had a great time trying out some games I've never played before last night! One stand out was Pandemonium! on the PS1. What a wonderfully whimsical experience. I will definitely have to go for a full playthrough in the future!

Finished Max Payne tonight. That's Game #2 of 2026! That was a really fun playthrough, despite the borked difficulty. Never managed to finish it as a kid. Looking forward to playing Max Payne 2 for the first time!

I've been watching a play test of Skyblivion this afternoon and I am so impressed with what the team has put together. It looks fantastic. There's still a few things to iron out which is expected from a mod of this size. But it looks like it is pretty close to being complete! Can't wait to play!

Eternal Arcade @eternalarcade.bsky.social · 01/02/2026

I will add that it wasn't until a few hours into Day 2 did I find out that Max Payne has adaptive difficulty which is apparently kind of broken on modern PCs. Really cool for a game that is almost 25 years old, and also explains why I started to die so much! Thank god for quicksaves! 😅

Eternal Arcade @eternalarcade.bsky.social · 01/02/2026

Max Payne kicked my arse a bit this week. End of Day 1, Part 1 complete: 29 Deaths. End of Day 2, beginning of Part 3: 90 DEATHS. This game got difficult quickly 😂. Finishing up the story tomorrow night. I wonder what the final death count will be.

The Hades addiction was still going strong up until last night. "One last attempt before bed" I thought, after a run of failures. Get to Hades. All looking good. Phase 1 complete... game freezes 🙃. Time for a break 😂

I don't think Steam should be allowed to sell these older games on the store when they is very little chance that they will run on modern hardware. I this case, anything past Windows 7 era from what I can tell at a glance. At least GOG make an effort! [2/2]

010

Eternal Arcade @eternalarcade.bsky.social · 25/01/2026

Playing old PC games often comes with its challenges...todays example: Max Payne. The Steam version doesn't run on modern hardware without community made fixes. And I'm still having a few issues with it. I've owned this game on Steam for over 10 years and I've never been able to play it 😂. [1/2]

This week I've been able to have some down time after work which has been so nice, and I've been exercising more. I'm not stressing about finding time to edit the next clip all the time. I feel a lot a better mentally and physically. Time to focus on more important things this year, like myself! 😊

000

Eternal Arcade @eternalarcade.bsky.social · 18/01/2026

I decided last week that I wasn't going to keep chasing algorithms with short form content. Even though they are only short clips, I would spend a lot of time each week editing. And I really enjoy editing, I don't want to stop. But I need to manage my time better. [1/2]

I'm trying to make more of an effort to play some games "offline" this year. There's so much in my backlog. I'm starting off by continuing with Hades that I started over Christmas, and picking up Hollow Knight again, which has been a lot of fun over the weekend 😁
