I was in a furniture shop. There were desks and chairs to buy. To imagine yourself working with a laptop, they had those fake laptops, that were just plastic frames with a screen and keyboard printed on paper inside. Surprise #linux #fedora FC-6 i386 Disc 2.

Before: 2 lane road for cars. Dirt path next to it for pedestrians.

After: 2 lane road with middle lane for turning. Traffic island don't allow to use middle lane for overtaking. Pedestrian path and bike lane properly separated with a grass strip.

It still works! Only the battery was dead. Unfortunately I don't see any possibilitiy of using it in any useful way. The 3G networks are being phased out (still works here). It won't turn on without a SIM card. #oldnokia

🚨🇪🇺 BREAKING — EU Tech Regulation Update 🇪🇺🚨

The EU has officially passed the Vim/Emacs Neutrality Act (VENA-42.1).

According to the Commission for Developer Well-Being, “EU workplaces have suffered decades of ideological conflict, psychological harm, and lost productivity due to unresolved disputes between Vim and Emacs users.”

Key measures include:
• Every Linux-based workstation in the EU must now have Vim and Emacs installed in equal prominence.
• System administrators are required to provide proof of editor neutrality during annual compliance audits.
• Defaulting to Nano without explicit user consent will be considered a Class-C User Experience Violation.

To reduce radicalization:
“Developers will be offered de-escalation training to prevent conversion attempts such as ‘Have you tried Vim?’ or ‘You don’t need Vim, Emacs can emulate it’.”

In the name of workplace harmony, companies must designate Safe Editing Zones, where only neutral editors (Notepad, VS Code in Zen Mode, or Google Docs) may be used to avoid ideological tensions.

Non-compliant companies risk fines of up to €7,500 per unsolicited editor evangelization attempt, and repeat offenders may be sentenced to mandatory training in both Vim and Emacs until they can exit each editor without assistance.
