Took a shot at painting this cute post office I saw in Japan. Painting buildings is something I still find tricky so I may try to make a little series of paintings from my trip photos for practise.

A sketchbook lay open over a paper pallet. The sketchbook is open to a page with an acrylic gouache painting depicting a small blue wooden post office building, surrounded by blander taller buildings. This is a quick painting based on Kyoto Gion post office.

“Rider on the Storm” 11” x 14” oil on gold leaf on panel. Did you know that jackalopes only reproduce during electrical storms? That’s why they are so rare.
