I'm increasingly convinced that the English localization of Limbus is the gold standard everyone in the field should be studying. The writing runs the full gamut of topics, emotions, and registers, and the translators nail every last one. Some assorted screenshots from earlier in the new update.

When you acquire FF characters in FF Resonance it shows you footage of the game they're from, usually the original versions + ask you 3 questions to put you in the shoes of the character you're about to get. But for FF7 it's all Remake stuff which is to be expected but I just thought it was funny.

KH2 Level 1 Crit run was long overdue. Loving it so far and it's also got me viewing certain enemies in a different light. Just wrapped up the first visit of Olympus. Feels good to be playing this game again after so long.

There's something about KH1 that feels like its missing from the later games that I wish I could articulate better, but it has this melancholic and surreal quality to it that permeated the whole game. I'm not saying this as a slight against the other games, but 1 is special to me for that reason.

I think that if you really insist on having non-combat downtime in your melee action game, that Furi had the right idea: do away with the inane filler puzzles and let the player walk around a pretty landscape at their own leisure. Give me vistas and strolling instead of box puzzles. Give me Nothing

Tried out Wizardry Variants Daphne because of the FFXI collab. Genuinely cool game with a very unfortunate monetization model which means I can recommend it to no one. Now I'll spend the rest of my life yearning for a licensed Wizardry game that adapts Chains of Promathia.

Endless Ragnarok done. They really came out swinging with this one. So glad this exists. Mainly just wanted better fights with cool mechanics and that's what I got. Only thing I have to knock it for is "story" which seems done in a way to introduce new fans to more of the lore but executed poorly.
