I prefer not to generalize from a single anecdote. I like that people are *presumed* innocent until *proven* guilty. I am ok with a system in which a judge can use discretion to deny bail. I do not want a system in which the cops’ arresting someone for a violent crime *automatically* precludes bail.

Me too. I occasionally use non-paid ChatGPT to jumpstart my creation of materials for the adult ESL classes that I volunteer to teach (e.g. output some intro level fill-in-the-blanks for regular present tense).
