The "some folks" are gatekeeping lame-o's that stand to lose clout at the local comic-con if cosplay gets more mainstream. What would be great is if people see this and want to join in the fun! Don't be a gatekeeper, be a cheerleader!

💯 I, myself, have received a few scam letters so scary real and that took me long enough to sort, that I have to really question if I'd be able to do the same in, say, my 70s or 80s.

The most absolutely massive flex from the state fair exhibit. This quilt is made of 40 years of prize ribbons from various categories at the New Mexico State Fair won by Carol St. Clair Johnson. She also won a prize for this quilt.

After unexpectedly winning her first blue ribbon for a sewn cape in 1981, Carol St. Clair Johnson developed an enduring love for the New Mexico State Fair. The quilt Fair New Mexico-41 Fair Years incorporates more than six hundred of the ribbons she won at the fair every subsequent year except 2020 (when the fair was canceled because of the COVID-19 pandemic). Johnson earned ribbons for needlework, knitting, crochet, pies, cookies, cakes, canning, jewelry, flowers, vegetables, and potted plants. The title of the quilt is a reference to the state song, and the design places the state's Zia sun symbol at the center. The quilt earned Johnson yet another ribbon: Best in Category (miscellaneous quilt) at the 2023 New Mexico State Fair.

I probably sound crazy, but it just dawned on me that there is serious potential in various casserole dishes being used as a burrito filling.

Hi, I am a music lover and logophile who resides in the KC area. One of my many favorite small song moments happens at the 5:01 mark in Hendrix's version of Like a Rolling Stone from the '67 Monterey concert. www.youtube.com/watch?v=bnAZ...

So fantastic! 1. Basically a home recording, Dolly's voice is so natural and perfect. 2. The guitar player is kicking ass on this arrangement!

Another favorite track for the trifecta! Otis Rush falls under a lot of people's radar, he sort of zigged when blues popularity zagged in the states during his career. Much more well thought of around the world. www.youtube.com/watch?v=Uy2t...
