PowerSchool sits beneath a student privacy settlement tied to Naviance and the fallout from a major breach. Yet PowerSchool Group LLC still appears on ISTE’s conference site with the ISTE Seal attached to its name. I wrote about that contradiction and what the badge is worth now. #EduSky

"Friends" is a beloved American sitcom that aired from 1994 to 2004, following seven young adults—Rachel, Ross, Monica, Chandler, Joey, Phoebe, and the Skipper —living in New York City. The show explores their friendships, romances, careers, and personal growth over ten seasons.

Man, Trump really bus tossed the Nobel Peace Prize winning Maria Corina Machado. This sounds less “nation-building-ly” and more “plantation-ly”.

What exactly is an educational way to do gambling?
Well, I actually think it's a brilliant idea if it can be done in an educational way that's legal. And so, imagine no free Robux, no free prizes, just a game called the Dress to Impress Predictor, where it's not like trying to get kids' money or anything like that. I would be a big fan of it.

For those of you who paid attention in your high school English class, the part of “Emmanuel Goldstein” is being played by George Soros these days. The exact same playbook from the novel.
Image of Emmanuel Goldstein staring out of a screen. It is the character as described in the novel “1984” by George Orwell.

Credit to GeoGuessr for choosing not to participate after community pushback. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again: Going is a choice. So is your complicity. No prize pool changes what you’re legitimizing.
A dramatic spotlight shines on an empty esports gaming chair and desk setup in the center of a massive, dimly lit stadium. A world map is projected beneath the stage, symbolizing global participation. The vacant seat evokes the absence of accountability at the Esports World Cup in Riyadh, where players and platforms gather near the prison holding Manahel al-Otaibi, with little public recognition of her imprisonment or Saudi Arabia’s human rights record.

The stages are lit. The influencer contracts are signed. The opening ceremonies are underway. And Manahel sits in prison less than 20 miles from the venue. Once again, players, orgs, and platforms are happy to play along. Not because they have to. Because it’s easier than asking real questions.
Manahel al-Otaibi stands in a gym, smiling for a mirror selfie while wearing a neon green athletic shirt and camouflage leggings. This widely circulated image became symbolic of her arrest and imprisonment by Saudi authorities, who charged her as a terrorist for peacefully advocating women’s rights, including posting images like this without a hijab.

The Esports World Cup is back in Riyadh. So is the silence. No apologies. No tangible reform. No mention of Manahel al-Otaibi, still imprisoned by the House of Saud as a terrorist for demanding basic human rights. #Esports
A split image showing a video game controller centered between two contrasting backgrounds. The left side features a rainbow pride flag with a green glow, symbolizing diversity and inclusion in gaming. The right side is dark, with a red glow, showing barbed wire, chains, a hand in a shackle, and handcuffs — symbolizing state repression and human rights abuses. The image critiques the esports community’s complicity in promoting events like the Esports World Cup in Saudi Arabia, where human rights violations persist, including the ongoing imprisonment of women like Manahel al-Otaibi.

The passing of the legendary Bob Uecker is like losing a friend who would hang out with you during the summer and the game you both were experiencing could be secondary to the stories being shared. This will be a tough upcoming baseball season for Brewers faithful.
The passing of Bob Uecker, the beloved voice of the Milwaukee Brewers, marks the end of an era. For decades, his wit, warmth, and unmistakable humor brought baseball to life for generations of fans. Since I moved to Wisconsin in 2015, Uecker’s voice has been my constant companion each summer, weaving stories and calling games with a charm that only he could muster.

For many in my generation, Uecker may be remembered as Harry Doyle, the hilariously irreverent announcer in the movie "Major League." While the film followed a fictional Cleveland Indians team, it was filmed in Milwaukee County Stadium, adding an unexpected hometown connection. Yet for Brewers fans, Uecker was so much more than an actor or comedian. He was the soundtrack of our summers and the heart of our baseball experience.

Listening to baseball on the radio is a unique pleasure, one that feels increasingly rare in today’s fast-paced world. Whether intently following each pitch or simply enjoying the soothing rhythm of the game while drifting off on the couch, a skilled broadcaster turns a game into a story—something deeply personal, even magical. Bob Uecker excelled in this role, creating a bond with listeners that felt like an old friend visiting your home from spring training in February to the bittersweet end of October.

Now, one of baseball’s greatest voices has gone silent. Yet his legacy endures. Uecker’s timeless humor, his unmatched storytelling, and his larger-than-life presence will live on in the countless stories shared about him and in the many recordings that capture his unforgettable career. Bob Uecker may be gone, but his voice will echo through baseball’s history and in the hearts of all who had the privilege of listening.

Remember when public works projects encouraged beauty and greatness? Brooklyn’s Main Library sure does.
Photograph of the Brooklyn Public Library’s central branch entrance. The curved facade features light-colored stone with engraved text, including the institution’s name and mission. Prominent golden art deco figures and designs adorn the large entry doors, emphasizing literature and knowledge. The foreground includes a wide staircase, a potted plant, and a small bird, with sunlight illuminating the scene against a clear blue sky.

The background is light blue with a LEGO Star Wars logo in the top left and decorative star patterns in the design.

Post a video game gif (or static image) from the year you were born (details in ALT)
Screenshot of Pedit5, an early dungeon-crawl role-playing video game from 1975. The image shows a simplistic interface with orange text and graphics on a black background. It includes a list of spells such as ‘Sleep’ and ‘Magic Missile,’ a small map of a room with a player and a monster represented by basic symbols, and a prompt instructing the player to fight, run, or cast a spell. The text at the bottom indicates the player is on “Level 6 Giant Hog.”
