Globe journalism was never meant to be a permanent obstacle to someone’s success, with the worst decisions and moments in regular people’s lives accessible by a few keystrokes for the rest of time. Fresh Start aims to empower all people who want to start over.
Square shaped box with a dark gray background and white text with yellow bullet points. At the top of the square it says: What is Fresh Start?. The next row of text has a yellow bullet point and says: An initiative that allows all people to appeal their presence in older stories published on our site.. The bullet point that says: Cases are considered individually and, if warranted, steps will be taken to update the story and protect the privacy of the individual. The fourth bullet point says: These steps may include republishing the story with new information, or removing it from Google searches. And the final bullet point reads: All final decisions will ultimately come down to the Globe’s editorial discretion.
