was playing half life alyx for the first time and had a hysterical glitch happen where Russell's eyes were rapidly flashing RGB colors .

russell is seen unleashing his devil mode with alyx having the proper back away fear response in Half-Life: Alyx .

close up of russell with blood red glowing eyes .

we need hardware to look friendly and inviting again with switches and stuff . just sitting on a table or what not kinda just subtly nudging me over to put a game in .

the japanese famicom, with a warm red surrounding the beige part of the plastic case. FAMILY COMPUTER is written on it. has a BIG eject lever that is completely impractical but fun and pops your games out like a toaster.

one of the gold and red controllers has a microphone that you can KILL things with in zelda by screaming at them

She HATES playing Pac-Land (He likes playing tower of druaga)

was looking through 80s issues of NG Namco community magazine as you do .

October 25th issue of NG NCM: girl in a hat is seen playing Pac-Land on a weird 40s - 50s vintage television in a forest with the color-composition of a folk album cover. She looks Displeased

July 25th 1985 issue of NG NCM: boy with glasses is seen playing Tower of Druaga (Famicom port) on a weird 40s - 50s vintage television in a much more vibrant sunny field. He looks happy.

you know i was literally wondering why Umihara Kawase's music was so familiar after having played it for the first time last night... as it turns out, it shares sound staff with the Kuru Kuru Kururin series, which... makes a lot of sense!

in game screenshot of Umihara Kawase (hardcoregaming101 cred.)
here we see the protagonist Kawase Umihara using her fishing line as a grappling hook to solve platforming puzzles in a surreal, cubic environment with a pretty, yet low-fidelity picture of a seafront.

Kuru Kuru Kururin (also hardcoregaming101, cred.)
Controlling the Helirin, a bizarre two-bladed helicopter, Kururin (the cute bird) must navigate through obstacle filled mazes while timing his movements as to not damage the Helirin's constantly rotating blades.

ough this one is so hard it might be a tossup . jet the hawk, adventure-era amy, blaze the cat, dr. eggman (of course), fang the sniper, vector . . . but idk recently especially E-102 Gamma has become one of, if not my favorite character in the franchise. i care about them so much 🥺
