I didn't know which track to choose for this, but I've gone with one I did for the Mars theme in January 2025. I guess it's a bit more front of mind than others as I've been half way through a Jupiter themed track for some time now. This is "The view from Phobos" on.soundcloud.com/tlm9W9IAmCyz...

The View From Phobos

A track for the Music Weeklies "Mars" challenge. I had it finished a little after it was due (January 2025) and never posted it.

Found some tracks I hadn't uploaded for the @musicweeklies.bsky.social Magic (November 2024) and Mars (January 2025) challenges. Added them to my Music Weeklies playlist on SoundCloud. Magic I, Magic II, and The View From Phobos. .https://soundcloud.com/esky013_nz/sets/music-weeklies-challenges

I've just thrown another compilation of tracks up on YouTube. This one title "Emotions" is a bunch of more sombre tracks. Cover art was done by me based on some drawings I did to go with poems I wrote at high school. youtu.be/7D9abC4qt_w

Just added an album of 9 pieces on YouTube - Flight Risk. All original pieces recorded between 2017 and 2025. youtu.be/8j2Is2KlF80 Some are guitar instrumentals, other are synth tracks. Some for the @musicweeklies.bsky.social challenges, others just because they appeared in my brain. Enjoy 🎹🎸🤘

I decided to make a start with putting some of my music on YouTube. Uploaded this group of songs today as an album called "Words". It's a bunch of my songs from the last 10 years that I've sung on. Enjoy 🎸🎹🤘 youtu.be/jup0z2I4mOc

I was playing with Spitfire Audio LABS and found some vocal sounds that I liked. I was going to play some live guitar over it, but found a "bowed guitar" sound that fit the bill perfectly for what I was after. This is the result - Lament. Simple, but I like it. soundcloud.com/esky013_nz/l...

Here's the other track I started as part of the Music Weeklies #NightSight challenge. Took me an extra week to finish it, but here it is. I did learn from this that mixing orchestral pieces is hard, and this isn't even a full orchestra! soundcloud.com/esky013_nz/n...

My track for Music Weeklies #nightsight challenge - Night Vision. Heavily influenced by the image, I suppose My idea was: start with sneaking, have a skirmish, sneak away after. soundcloud.com/esky013_nz/n... Working on a second as well, but don't know if I'll finish in time

Music has always been my happy place. Just blocking out everything else outside the moment of creating something new. And then there's the journey of pushing the boundaries of what I've done before to find something new.
