Charterstone was one of my all-time (maybe THE all-time) greatest board game experiences. We binged it. I don't think that's a common term in board games, but we totally binged Charterstone. It's such an amazing game.

I recently picked up the newest edition of Arkham Horror: The Card Game core set. I have (and very much enjoyed) the original LCG (the first 2-player version, not the revised core set), and was anxious to get this to add more players and new content. Enjoying it so far! #boardgames #arkhamhorror

Completely agree -- Wingspan has a great AI! It's similar to the way the AI is implemented in Lost Ruins of Arnak, which I also enjoy. I love that the AI turns are simple (flip a card/tile and do what it says) and gameplay for the human player is essentially unchanged.

When I design solo modes, I focus on what I enjoy as a solo player. I like experiences that play similarly to the multiplayer game, placing pressure on the player and allowing them to leverage the same strategies/tactics as in the multiplayer game. I prioritize few rules changes and minimal upkeep.

We have finalized all the component files for Stakeout and are ready to start production. It's been a long process (much longer than I expected for sure), but we're thrilled with how everything's turned out. It will be wonderful when backers finally get their games!

Def plan to give it another go! I can't say I've played anything else like it, and the disjointed feeling may resolve with repeated plays. (might be a me problem, and not a game problem)

My other disappointment is with the component quality. The books are SUPER cool -- but I'm concerned they won't hold up over time. And, the puzzle pieces (which are a central part of the game) aren't very high quality and don't fit together very well, which seems like a huge miss.

Hey Melissa! The artwork is gorgeous, and I love the concept, but my first play did feel a bit underwhelming. Maybe it's because the subject is so esoteric, but everything felt kind of disjointed. I was doing a lot of things - that triggered other things, but there wasn't much of a sense of purpose.
