Pokemon battles where the opponent's machamp spanks you if you lose.

Eshaolang @eshaolang.bsky.social · 08/05/2026

English line clearly means making opponent “beg forgiveness.” So it seems obvious the Chinese localization was translated from Japanese. The literal reading can come across as “Spare me,” but in context it feels more like a rhetorical threat—closer to “I won’t spare you” or “Begging won’t save you.”

000

Eshaolang @eshaolang.bsky.social · 08/05/2026

Well, this might actually just be a translation issue. Tibarn’s special quote in the Chinese version is translated as “放过我吧…” which literally means “Spare me...” While we could interpret it as Tibarn weakening under the pain of corruption, that still feels out of character for him. But this is hot.

100

Eshaolang @eshaolang.bsky.social · 08/05/2026

I checked, and Tibarn never had any official art based on this concept before. Even though FEH’s writing tends to be pretty shallow, and it doesn’t fully match the original characterization, getting any official art for a character from an older game is still something I’m grateful and happy for.

000

Eshaolang @eshaolang.bsky.social · 08/05/2026

I don’t think I’m a fan of this adaptation. It feels pretty obvious that they want to justify Fallen Tibarn as a popularity-driven concept, but instead of giving him meaningful story focus, they mostly just had him explain things out loud. It disappointed me in same way the Fallen Ike storyline did.

000

Eshaolang @eshaolang.bsky.social · 08/05/2026

I’m sorry for the spoilers… and honestly, I didn’t expect Tibarn’s “fallen” reason to end up just being overwhelming anger. Even though the story tries to justify it, I’m pretty sure anger alone was never enough to cause feralization in either PoR or RD

000

Eshaolang @eshaolang.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

Or maybe it’s based on his battle dialogue with Ashnard in Path of Radiance… Either way, we’ll find out tomorrow. I really hope we get to see some interactions between Tibarn and Ike.

100

Eshaolang @eshaolang.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

I think it’s more likely tied to the part in RD where Tibarn was betrayed by the ravens, Phoenicis was burned, and to save his clan he kept fighting and flying for days without rest… But in canon, Tibarn quickly regains his composure and condition—I’d say that’s an important part of his heroic charm

100

Eshaolang @eshaolang.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

I think Fallen Chrom, like Fallen Ike, was based on one of TCG theme sets, right? The feral potion would definitely be a great explanation, though I honestly doubt IS would write a scenario where Tibarn gets captured and force-fed a feral potion. But I have to say, that mental image is pretty vivid.

110

Eshaolang @eshaolang.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

Ashnard is absolutely a bastard, but as a game villain, he’s kinda hot. These pictures weren’t really made specifically for this though, somehow they fit well. Ike and Tibarn are definitely in my top three FE characters, and the other one is Hawkeye. Art by RickPenman @rickpenman.bsky.social

0344

Eshaolang @eshaolang.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

That said, Ashnard would absolutely love this. He definitely is the type to “collect” these muscular warriors—I could find some canon dialogue to support that. During the last Fallen Ike event, he basically treated Ike like a dog—tormenting him while trying to bring out his feral side and tame him…

1171

Eshaolang @eshaolang.bsky.social · 06/05/2026

Fallen Tibarn? So after Fallen Ike, IS is doing another fallen ver. of a character who was never corrupted in canon… I can get it—fallen heroes attract attention. But I still think true heroes stay true to their ideals without wavering. Still, male alts are so rare that I’m pulling for him anyway.

My friend @manicorn.bsky.social had a birthday recently and wanted to see Samson giving Gorilla another round of punishment... just to make sure the former champion knew the price of mutiny in that wrestling ring!

Two men appear in the middle of the wrestling ring, both very muscular and wearing wrestling boots. Samson, an older daddy type with silver buzz-cut hair, has Gorilla, a burly type with a bald head, over his knee, his hand up high. Samson is saying, "I don't think you had enough punishment to get through that thick skull of yours. You are never to go against me again! Do I make myself clear?!"

Gorilla, in the completely vulnerable position, yells, "Yes!"

Samson's hand moves quickly, delivering a powerful spank to Gorilla's buns! Samson yells over Gorilla's yelps, "'YES' WHAT?!" while Gorilla bellows, "YES, SIR!!"

Two dozen more slaps are delivered expertly to Gorilla's ass cheeks, sizzling reddening those glutes into a ruby red. The twin arena cameramen record the entire thing, broadcast across the globe and recorded for future airings and home video sales.
