Weekendje weg in Luxemburg! Even op mijzelf zijn en een beetje tot rust komen. Dat is vandaag nog niet echt gelukt.. Vanmorgen vroeg gaan rijden en na het opzetten meteen gaan wandelen. Leuke route door Mullerthal. Morgen hopelijk nog goede benen en een iets langere route.

Holy moly. Het gebeurt maar zelden dat ik een boek in twee dagen uitlees! Wat een eigenzinnige pageturner. Kwam deze tegen in de bieb en kende Bert Natter van 'Aan het einde van de Oorlog'. Hoewel anders, toch een hoop hetzelfde. Natter bezit de kunst van het weglaten tot in de puntjes! Easy ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Tijd voor de boekenclub! Echt een weergaloos boek, Rouwdouwers, van @falunelliekoos.bsky.social. In twee dagen tijd uitgelezen en nu in de club bespreken. Zoveel te bespreken, zoveel goed aan dit boek. Één van de beste boeken die ik ooit gelezen heb. Met tranen in de ogen. We zijn hierin unaniem.

Finished my third book this month! Well on schedule for the 15 books I want to read in 2026. I liked this sci-fi novel. Not the best plot there is, but I was invested in the characters and the story. Finished it in a couple of days! 3.5/5 stars, sometimes a but predictable.

Second book of 2026 is done! Wanting to read some more classics I gave this book a try. Especially since it about censoring and keeping the people dumb and numb Unfortunately, not the best book around. First two parts were nice but the final part was a weird ramble. Glad I read it though! ⭐⭐⭐

It has been almost three months since I baked my last bread. Live happened, I guess.. Very happy with this result! My sourdough starter was useless, so this one is made with dry yeast. Absolutely love the looks of this loaf! I used the shaping method of Forkish in FWSY. Crumb picture tomorrow!

Onderweg voor een weekendje in de Ardennen! Voor het eerst dat ik een wandelweekend wil gaan doen en voor het eerst dat ik in m'n eentje ga kamperen. Heel benieuwd hoe ik het allemaal ga beleven. Omgeving van de L'Ourthe, wil gaan wandelen rond de samenkomst van de oostelijke en westelijke tak.

Wat. Een. Boek. Het duurde even, maar de 640 bladzijdes zijn uiteindelijk voorbij gevlogen. Een etmaal in een concentratiekamp wat op het punt staat overlopen te worden door de Sovjets. Gruwelen, lachen, verbazen en ook emotioneel. #booksky #readingsky #havetoread

#C25K Not the best run, but still a run! Best part was meeting these Scottish Highlander! There was also an herd of wild horses in the field. Enjoyed this outdoor run, although it wasn't the best. It's hard to get to the 20min run, maybe next time!

Forgot to post these two loafs from my last bake. Came out pretty good, but still not the open crumb I'm aiming for. Taste was great, though. Used some Emmer, Rye and Wheat wholegrain with a seedmix. On to the next batch!

Look at that! My starter was already way past it's peak and I had to give it an overnight final proof instead of a few hours, but the result is pretty good! 10% rye, 20% spelt, 20% Emmer, 25% wheat and 25% breadflour with linseed & pumpkin seeds. 80% hydratation #breadsky #bakingsky #sourdough

Finally got around to making that Ottolenghi lunch I've been wanting to eat for a while. Grilled some of my own sourdough, with limabeans, curry madras, cheese and some cream. Topped off with some pickled red onion. It was great! 🤤

I think my bulk fermentation went a bit too well 😅🙈 Have some issues with the timetable of my sourdough because of work and rest. This one has had a bulk fermentation of about 15 hours.. Hopefully there's enough left for the ovenrise after the coldproofing. #bakersky #breadsky #sourdough

Are you lot team-kneading-by-hand or mixer? I started as a kneading by hand only.. But once I tried the mixer because of time management I haven't really gone back to hand kneading. Will knead by hand again in the summer I think, it can be so satisfying. #breadsky #bakingsky #broodbakken
