First Nations children are still waiting for safe schools, clean water, adequate housing and equitable services. Meanwhile, Canada somehow finds urgency when the “national interest” is pipelines, mines and major projects. Reconciliation has to mean more than wearing orange once a year. 🧡

I'm sure it's not 100% a new idea, but I just made an aloo roti quesadilla and it was 🔥 Roti filled with a spiced potato mix (think samosa?) and cheese, then grilled like a quesadilla. Would be great dipped in a pico de gallo, too.

The youngest person his pager attack killed was 9-year-old Fatima Abdullah, who had just started 4th grade. The pager was on a table when it went off and she picked it up to take to her dad. It exploded in her face and reports said it covered the room in her blood. She wanted to learn English.

My hope for Toronto, which holds a special place in my heart, is that after yet another loss this dude just disappears in shame. He was my city councillor and in any interaction that I had with him he was dismissive, arrogant, and refused to listen while always wanting to be heard.

I find it ironic when people who claim to have leadership skills need to be in control, to take the top spot, or be out in front. Leaders know how to work in whatever role they're put in, to lead regardless of the position they're in. Yes, this is a tweet about local politics.

Gary, Indiana is 77% percent Black. Thousands have been without power for nearly two weeks. Many are without safe water. Yet every data center is operational & using enormous amounts of both power and water. This is what oligarchy looks like. Everyone suffers so the 1% can make even more.

FB is such a toxic place for any discussion around politics, mostly because facts are completely irrelevant & absolutely anything can be a chance to spout off about how (insert politician/party) is ruining how things used to be. Hot take: we don't need to hear your opinion on everything, Jan.
