I've unfortunately heard that about a lot of beta readers recently, which is why I never tried to find any. I don't wanna risk any of my work being fed to an AI program in any way. :(

Thank you, I appreciate that! I'll keep you in mind if I look for beta readers in the future. In terms of feedback...I'd have to answer that if I decide to go the beta reader/editing route further. Right now, I'm focusing on being confident in my manuscript as is. :)

It did really help me find things that were unnecessary, and I do think it did help to tighten the story overall (although there is one scene I'd fight to put back in if I was given the space to do so lol!).

Thanks for asking! I've definitely gotten some automatic rejections (in less than 12 hours) likely because my wordcount is 125k, which is over the limit a bit. But I'm hoping one of the agents I've queried will find the content interesting enough to give it a shot! 🤞
