i had a minor problem run in my 20s, had a real long losing streak, won just enough to do a little better than breaking even, and swore off it forever. I am so glad that was before it became one of the only actual industries left in the west.

downloaded the first audiobook for my commute. pretty cool to see it recommended for fans of Leckie and Banks, seems like entirely my shit. I think i got put off by the series name sounding a bit edgy and YA when it got recommended the first time.

Tommyknockers is probably my second favourite king, after Carrie, which is just perfect in its brevity, cool framing device, and just being a stripped down, ideal king story. I get why people dislike Tommyknockers, it sprawls awfully, but its the realest "i think I have a serious drug problem" book
