One thing to know about me is that I absolutely despise people who do not return their shopping cart to the cart corral. I spotted this outside of Target today. This person made it mere feet from the entrance and just decided, eh, this is good enough. No, no it is not good enough.

Someone abandoned a shopping cart outside of the entrance to target instead of bringing it into the store or placing it in a corral like a descent human being.

Since being elected & re-elected the President of our Academic Senate, I’ve learned that at least 6 of my colleagues pray for me regularly. 1. I’m sincerely touched by this. 2. I’m also me, so I turned it into a stress metric. How am I doing? Well, no one new told me they pray for me, so I’m okay!

I’m old school so I agree w/ most of this article. Get rid of: 1. Anything that can take away a player’s vote (SITD, Beware advantage, etc.) 2. Multiple hidden idols; 1 @ each camp in play @ a time 3. Fake idol kits (only fucking sticks!) 4. Safety w/o power… 1/2🧵 #survivor

Detecting AI in student papers... This is my 1st semester teaching a class w/ a required paper since the ChatGPT boom. What are the best practices regarding detecting AI in student papers? My uni uses Turnitin which has an AI detector. I also have other samples of each student's writing. Advice?

I woke up this morning with the same rights over my body that white men have had in Ohio since, well forever. Every single state that has tried to ban women's bodily autonomy has lost. I'm happy today but still enraged that women's rights are deemed debatable. They aren't debatable in Ohio anymore.

I’m at a concert and the average age is easily 45, and anyone who leaves their seat is absolutely incapable of finding their seat again. Middle-aged people are just pacing up and down the aisle, unable to find the row they’re sitting in and I’m watching like 🤔🫣🤯

Just drove past a house with about 5 women dressed up as witches sitting around a fire pit drinking in the front yard. Propped up against a tree in the yard, a sign with “U honk, we drink” spray painted on it. We honked, they raised their cups to us and drank. It was awesome.
