Double-featuring Frankenstein and The Bride of Frankenstein with friends was a lot of fun. The Bride of Frankenstein was good because James Whale told Ernest Thesiger to be as gay as possible for 1935 just to amuse himself, and then FM chuffed fat darts

I forgot I ordered this until just before it arrived yesterday. Such a gorgeous edition of such a fun film, and the booklet with essays is just amazing. Not pictured but also received: a 4K UHD of the wonderful peek into 70s gay culture (and a miserable party), The Boys In The Band. A good mail day.

If we're talking nine anime that have shaped me in various ways throughout various points in my life I think this has to be it. If I could have a tenth it would probably be Haruhi. my9animes.com/en

some friends online are doing a fully modded world of light playthrough with user-submitted spirits, which is a thing we do every so often, so I had to let the server know about deep ohio lore

Super excited for tonight's #MovieNight because it's all about music! First, we rock out with a biopic about Joan Jett and - appropriately enough - The Runaways! And then, the breakdancing documentary that took Japan by storm and was one of the big dominos in the invention of DDR, it's Wild Style!

There is no heterosexual explanation for tonight's #MovieNight. It's two queer films with matching poster aesthetics but very different vibes. First, two women, an artist, and the seaside - it's Portrait of a Lady on Fire. And then, a scratchy punk extravaganza assaults the senses with Fresh Kill.

Now I can listen to WFMU through a radio. That kind of thing. I'll have to highlight this in my eventual internet radio article

I treated myself to this extremely cool internet radio tuner that connects to our existing record/CD/tape player. It's so cute! It took a lot of cable finagling but I really like our entertainment setup.

It's Friday Night, and that means it's #MovieNight! A double feature of critically acclaimed movies you'd probably see on cable TV. First, John Singleton's debut feature that both illustrated and shaped a generation - Boyz N The Hood! Then, the naval epic everyone loves, it's Master & Commander!

The updated 5 Star Booker is a lot of fun and I had a good time with this card, but mostly I'm proud of being the first person to book The Hurricane vs. Blake Christian
