@msnownews.bsky.social Folks, please stop the cherry picking polls. The one with 29% approval of Trump is almost certainly an outlier. The NYTimes poll average for Trump approval is at 38 and has been there for several months. Recent numbers include 41 with Hart/NBC and 39 with Beacon Research.

@velshi.com You and others at MSNOW DO cherry pick polls showing Trump’s low approval rating. The rating has clearly gone down this year, but it is probably around 38%. (See the RCP avg.) Also, low approval for Trump doesn’t mean approval of Dems. We need to be clear-eyed about the road ahead!

@maddow.msnbc.com All due respect, your anger over the use of “populism” was misplaced. There’s a lot of research that shows that there is right-wing, red-pill form of populism that is linked to authoritarian movements, even if it is “plutocratic populism.”
