If you know me, you know I don't like to ask for things, but also that I'm earnest to a fault and do generally have the courage of my convictions. I didn't want to run for the House, but I could not allow a seat to go undefended. Help me defend Chittenden-23! secure.actblue.com/donate/erikf...

Guess it's time to take the Pats badge off the car, and put my team swag in storage (or destroy it). Should've done it years ago.

Loogit ol' Matt here, humble-bragging about being a youthful lad of only 43. I hope you had a good one! You deserve it, man. And thanks again for the personal Mister Gotcha. That book immediately graduated to heirloom status.

Marched with the Vermont Democrats this morning in the Burlington Pride Parade, to show a little support for my friends and neighbors. Unlike some national politicians, I'm not about to throw trans people under the bus to appease Republicans. Thanks to the organizers for putting on a great event.
A white dude, Erik Post, in a royal blue tank top with "Erik For Essex" emblazoned on the left breast, wearing dark amber aviator shades and a brightly colored geometric patterned headband, stands on Church Street in Burlington, Vermont, holding a sign reading "Protect Trans Youth." In the background you can see the spire of the Unitarian Universalist church and numerous people holding rainbow flags and campaign signs.

That's why man (or at least Temu or whoever) invented the short-sleeve suit.
A tall, dark-haired man with a short, stubbly beard models a navy short-sleeved suit, with a white shirt, black tie, and glossy, reddish-brown shoes. He does not appear to be wearing socks.

@catsofyore.bsky.social FYI, there is an item in the Vermont Comedy Arts fundraiser auction that may interest you (as someone who supports local non-profits, cats, and comedy). A little bit of water damage, but it comes in a nice frame! givebutter.com/c/VCA-summer...
Framed Currier & Ives print of two fluffy white cats wrestling amid some flowers (Lilacs?) as a mouse looks on. The caption, "Two Little Fraid Cats," suggests they may be recoiling in fear of the mouse. Either way, both have a feisty look on their faces.

Cracklin' Oat Bran. I have no idea why. Maybe something to do with the texture, and the way the structure held up in milk.

Then they'd go off and find a nice shady spot and eat whatever they nabbed. Do not trust the monkeys. Never let them catch you off guard.

Just look at these punk-ass simians. I saw what they were up to and never turned my back on them, but my sister and this other tourist weren't so lucky. The hustle was to have a cute monkey do something to distract you while their compatriot(s) snuck up to rob you from behind. This was Cambodia.

Seems like a good day to repost my favorite @barrydeutsch.bsky.social comic.
Comic titled "The Life of MLK Jr (As Told By White People)."

First panel shows a Black woman rocking a crying baby while sitting in a green armchair with a white doiley on the back, across from a matching chair. A vase of flowers sits on the end table next to her.

The panel reads, "MLK Jr. was born."

Second panel shows a Black child sitting bolt upright in bed, clutching his blanket.

The panel is captioned "Then he had a DREAM." The child says, "I had a DREAM that SOMEDAY our children would be judged by the content of their character, not the color of their skin! So STOP PLAYING THE RACE CARD!" A voice from off panel shouts, "Martin, go to SLEEP!"

Third and final panel shows a cemetery with green grass and blue skies with fluffy, white clouds. A simple gravestone reads "Martin Luther King Junior" with the epitaph, "Stop Playing the Race Card."

The panel is captioned, "And he NEVER said or did anything else EVER. And then he died. The END!"

Wow! *Nate Silver*, you say?
Fundraising text from "Chuck Schumer" reading in part:

Erik, is there anything I can say to convince you to donate $20 (becomes $80!) to help take back the Senate majority?

What if I told you that the GOP is moving in lock-step to pass Trump's agenda -- and refuses to stand up to him even in the face of blatant corruption?

What if I told you that we have a real shot at taking back their majority, and election experts like Nate Silver are even saying that the fight for the Senate will be "competitive" -- as long as Democrats give it our all?
